Aftershokz Aeropex Mini (Rebranded as Shokz OpenRun Mini) Bone Conduction Wireless Bluetooth Headphones

The headphones are excellent and the positive attributes that are advertised by the company are on target. I have no complaints at this point.

These headphones serve a pretty niche purpose, and at that they generally excel. However, there are some VERY odd design factors that make them clunkier than any other headset Ive ever used.

Great Headphones for outdoor activity. Works great for hands free telephone calls too. No Noise cancellation, need to use included earplugs if you want to use in areas with high ambient noise levels such as an airplane. You dont buy these for superior sound quality or noise cancellation, you buy them for the ability to listen to music/take calls during activities where you also need to hear around, thats why I rated 5 star vs. the rating for the identified features.

I just started using the headphones today. After used them for awhile, Ill update this rating. So far, I dont know about the battery life. I used it for 10 minutes and seems that it needs to be charges again, because the light is red not blue.

I like that Im able to run and hear the ambient noises around me, its kind of hard to get used to though. The sound quality isnt phenomenal but its still pretty good for what it is. They alao hold in place really good while running which is a huge plus! They are replacing a pair of headphones which was supposed to be sweat proof, so well see how well they hold up over time.

Great headset! I really not like having my ears covered when I do outdoor workouts. I can hear my surroundings while I listen to audio books or music. I have ear buds but i always have to use one side and keep my other ear open.

I work in a hospital so I must be able to hear alarms and communicate with others and being able to be connected to a call at the same time has incredible benefits. Before I was constantly pulling my device from my ear to have a face to face conversation. Great product!

I purchased these because AirPods kept popping out of my ear when bike riding or working out. Also after a few hours my ear canals would get sore. I have been using AfterShokz for about a week and have been extremely pleased with the sound quality and fit. More importantly I don’t worry about them falling out or ear irritation. With that said, I would judge the sound quality a little below AirPods. Of course they do not compare to my Bose noise canceling head phones for serious listening but then again I don’t want to work out with them. If you like to listen to music while working out, and have problems with ear buds falling out or irritating your ears these are a great solution.

No noise cancellation unless you choose to wear ear plugs. I bought AfterShokz Aeropex to take advantage of the bone conduction sound. I can listen to music or whatever from my cell phone without shoving something down my ear canal. I can have a conversation with someone and still listen to music. They dont pop out of my ears they remain in place like a pair of glasses. I am older so my hearing is not as acute as it once was so I cannot judge sound quality but for me they are terrific. The blue tooth 802.15 connection is good, and I can be a significant distance from my phone while using the headset. To me, they are worth the price. I do believe the packaging is excessive and more dollars were spent just on the elaborate box the headset came in that was necessary. The silicon pouch to store the headphones is very unimpressive and equally unimpressive is the runners belt with storage. The charging cable is a special magnetic connection design, (it comes with two) but they are on the short side. But, the headphones for me are so awesome, I am going to get another pair. Dont get the cheap set for 80 bucks, my Wife got those and they are just as functional but they not as nice as these. Its your decision, shop wisely.
