> 24 hourMy wife and I have three cats, and weve been using scratching mats similar to this set of 3 for years. When I say similar to I mean made of layered cardboard strips like this AGYM set is, made in various sizes and shapes. These are plain flat rectangular blocks, but the cats dont seem to care that they arent fancy. They still laying down on them and using them for scratching. This is a pretty good deal at 5 bucks per block, considering that they last quite a while, and when one side has been fairly torn up they can just be turned upside down for much more extended use! And they are certainly MUCH less expensive than the costs associated with damaged furniture, carpets, area rugs, door frames, etc. I included pictures of two of our kitties, Josee and Mia. When we adopted Josee she was declawed so she doesnt scratch the pads per se, but she LOVES lying on them. Mia also loves lying on them, but she has her claws intact so she also enjoys scratching them. Our third cat, Big Ralph, is the most prone to be destructive. For the most part he scratches on scratching posts and also some of the cardboard scratching pads. We havent seen him use one of these new ones yet, but we did place one in the corner of the rug where he likes to scratch; so hopefully hell scratch the cardboard instead. The bottom line is that weve never seen a cat that DIDNT like these cardboard scratching pads (we had a fourth cat - Jake - who died a little while ago, but he also LOVED to vigorously dig into this type of scratching pad). I guess it feels good on their paws. This 3-pack is no-frills, but the pads are also far less expensive per piece than the fancier shapes and forms. Recommended!

> 24 hourI set one of these out as soon as I got it, and the cats were on it immediately. They are bigger than what I usually see in the store and seem to be well made. Price is good for a five pack. My only complaint is that they don’t come with a box to seat them in to catch all the little pieces of cardboard that get torn up. Other than that, a great product.

> 24 hourThese are a nice large size and as good as any cardboard scratchers Ive seen. My cats love these things and destroy them (better the cardboard than my couch) pretty fast so having a three-pack is nice. If youve just got a new cat, youd probably want to see if they like this kind of scratcher before getting three, though since all cats have different preferences.

> 24 hourThese are very simple scratching boards, but my cats love them! I ordered a pack of three, so I gave one to my two cats, one to my dad’s two cats, and one to my friend’s kitten. All five cats started using them right away! Cats will be drawn to the rectangle shape of the boards. They’re also very lightweight, and would be perfect for bringing along if you travel with your cats.

> 24 hourMost cats love scratchers. These are scratcher refills for the large sized box scratchers. This is the first time Ive found a package of 5. They are a little thinner than the pads Im used to, but they work just Perfectly. Both sides are able to be scratched, so after a side is scratched up you can just flip it over. Catnip makes the scratcher even more appealing for the cat. Mine like to scratch on these and sleep on them. I have two out at all times for my 5 cats. Im fostering a kitty that was declawed a long time ago and she likes to scratch on them to. This value pack is really an awesome value and Im so glad I found out about it

> 24 hourI saw a couple of these that had catnip infused but they were more expensive and it turns out that our kitten just naturally drew to these right away. He loves these scratch pads and uses them all the time. I love that they come in packs of 5, not 3. I will update if it turns out these arent durable.

> 24 hourMy cat goes through these very quickly, but these are sturdy and a dood price for the number of items that you get. Will buy them again.

> 24 hourCats can (and WILL!) use ANYTHING to clean and sharpen their nails -- Furniture, wooden doorframes, carpets, ANYTHING! But for some reason they can, and do, use cardboard, whether it is a box full of stuff sitting in a corner, or a mat like this one laid out on the floor for their specific use. Weve had cat scratcher pads for almost as long as weve had cats, and I STILL dont know for sure what makes a good one, or a bad one. These scratch pads are a bit shorter (see picture) than the usual size weve gotten (I kind of think of that as a bad point), but they are definitely more tightly weaved than the ones in current use (and I tend to think that will prove to be a very, very good point for them). I made a heavy box frame to put the cat scratchers into to help hold them down (make them a bit less mobile and not skid around on the linoleum floor), but it is longer than these scratch pads by about 2 inches. These pads are also a bit thinner (1-inch versus 1.5-inches) so they do not fill the home-made box as well. I believe the thinner size will not affect anything, as I have cut some old ones apart and they generally tear up between 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch of the thickness from each side, so we should still be able to flip these over and get double-sided use out of them. Overall, since cats can use solid objects like wood as scratching posts, I think the most important attribute of scratching pads is the density of the weave, and these have the other guy beat hands down in that category (see picture). If I had gotten these years ago, and built my box for this length, I would probably give 5 stars, but due to the empty spot caused by the shortness of these pads versus the other guy, I feel I have to hold back one star. (Is there any way to get Cat Scratch Pads standardized so everybody makes the same size?!?)

> 24 hourMy cats love these cardboard scratchers. We can’t keep them long enough because the cats scratch through them so fast!
