> 24 hourGot this device to run a thorough diagnosis to all the plugs on the west wing of my house due to a tripped circuit breaker in the panel with no clear reason. With a multi-meter and great tester I took from work, each plug took me 2-3 mins and there are about 24 outlets I need to go through. This tester makes my life much easier and simpler, all I need to do is to plug in and read the results. The testing itself takes probably only 1 second or so. I was able to find a panel with two plugs with failure grounding and resolved the breaker issue with the replacement of the outlets and wires from the last panel. Not super fancy like the professional one I have, but simple easy to run the test quickly and smoothly. Highly recommended for home users.

> 24 hourThis outlet tester is super simple, has a great digital display that is easy to read and its pretty compact for what it can do! Just plug it in and it will tell you if its correct or not, and the amount of voltage that is coming your way. Doesnt get any easier than that!

> 24 hourI like that this unit will diagnose the fault in the circuit. I also like that it will cause a fault in the circuit to test the protection of the circuit. If I never encounter a problem that is diagnosed, this is a good thing! Reading the screen cannot be much easier too! I LOVE THIS UNIT! This unit covers much of what I would do manually. I have done a lot of wiring in my house as well as others and formerly in my business too. I have always elected to use my multi-meter so that I could ensure good connections (checking voltage after knowing the supply into the premises). I would check between all three connections as well as the chassis (box), especially if using conduit or metallic shielding. Using this unit makes it easier to get past the shields in the better duplex receptacles (wall plugs) and it gives me all the readings I would use. I do recommend this unit especially since it is CE certified as well!

> 24 hourI wanted this Aicevoos DS2 3-Wire 120V Outlet Tester because I had an APC (American Power Conversion) home surge protector showing a red light for a building wiring fault. I did some searches and found some information that some of these units have been known to show false positives for wiring faults. I moved the surge protector to a different outlet that wasn’t causing the red light. When I received this Aicevoos DS2 3-Wire 120V Outlet Tester, I tested the ‘offending’ outlet, and it showed as CORRECT. I proceeded to test the rest of the outlets in my home. Most came up as CORRECT, but an unused one came up as LIVE NEUTRAL REVERSE for both sockets. And a heavily-used one came up as MISSING GROUND for both sockets. I immediately unplugged the heavily-used cords, and won’t use that outlet until my electrician addresses the issues. I didn’t try any other functions on this tester, just used it by plugging it into sockets. Testing took a second or two on each plug, and then the ‘plain english’ output in all-caps. I’m really glad I ordered this tester. An electrician found and resolved a serious issue with an outlet in my finished basement a few years after I moved in. It will be good to get these others taken care of. I’ve assisted an electrician relative on wiring an addition to his home, not doing any of the real electrical work, but observing. I’m not an expert, so this Aicevoos DS2 3-Wire 120V Outlet Tester was perfect for me. I’ll also have my electrician check out the outlet that threw an error on my surge protector, but checked out CORRECT with this tester. This outlet tester seemed to work well, and I have no reason not to recommend it.

> 24 hourI have a similar device that just has colored lights and costs less, but this is easier to read. It also will test for GFI working correctly. I talso shows you the current and frequency. If it trips when you plug it in for GFI, that is the purpose, to test it. If it does NOT trip when you are testing it then you are not protected.

> 24 hourI run a bunch of 3D printers and recently had blown several fuses - I needed to be sure that my power strip and socket was not the issue as the expensive cost of having under voltage or a loss of ground was not something that I wanted to risk - this one is incredibly easy to use - multiple error detection codes that can detect several different faults even button to ensure leak detection receptacles are working properly - hands down the easiest way to check your sockets at home for faults and correct voltage! 10/10 recommend this one for any DIY home owner!

> 24 hourThis is a great tester to throw into your electrical tool box. It is small and easy to use, and doesnt even require any batteries. Simply plug this into a standard 120V outlet and it will, within about 3 seconds, tell you in plain english, if the wiring is correct, and the voltage and frequency of the AC. If there is a problem the tester will tell you in words what the issue is, without having to interpret a set of lights. Additionally, you can press the leakage test button to trip (test) a ground fault detector if there is one in the circuit. This will handle up to 250V so if your socket somehow has 240V instead of 120V on it, you wont blow up the tester. PROS: * Small and lightweight * Good build quality * Extremely easy to use CONS: * Consumer quality, not a professional quality product.
