> 3 dayThis tester is quick and easy to use. It will alert you to wiring issues and/or inconsistencies. There are other devices that perform a similar function with the use of LED lights, but that this one has both LED lights and an LCD screen is what sets it apart from the others. Additionally having a GFCI trip button to ensure your GFCI outlets are wired properly is handy, most, but not all testers have that feature. What I like: 1. I found the easy to read LCD screen useful. 2. The GFCI trip button is a nice feature. Drawbacks: 1. It is larger than a typical tester that has no LCD screen, but for me thats not a deal breaker. Bottom line: Unless I need to test in a really tight spot, this is my new go-to tester!

> 3 dayI have a similar device that just has colored lights and costs less, but this is easier to read. It also will test for GFI working correctly. I talso shows you the current and frequency. If it trips when you plug it in for GFI, that is the purpose, to test it. If it does NOT trip when you are testing it then you are not protected.

> 3 dayI like that this unit will diagnose the fault in the circuit. I also like that it will cause a fault in the circuit to test the protection of the circuit. If I never encounter a problem that is diagnosed, this is a good thing! Reading the screen cannot be much easier too! I LOVE THIS UNIT! This unit covers much of what I would do manually. I have done a lot of wiring in my house as well as others and formerly in my business too. I have always elected to use my multi-meter so that I could ensure good connections (checking voltage after knowing the supply into the premises). I would check between all three connections as well as the chassis (box), especially if using conduit or metallic shielding. Using this unit makes it easier to get past the shields in the better duplex receptacles (wall plugs) and it gives me all the readings I would use. I do recommend this unit especially since it is CE certified as well!

> 3 dayThis thing works great and is so easy to read. It’s just slightly difficult to store. I wish the plug folded into the main unit, rather than remaining rigid - it would just make it that much easier to store. Other than that one thing, this thing is so much easier than the old “decode the 3 lights to see what state your outlet is in” reader it replaced.

13-04-2025This is a good product if you want to test outlets t make sure they are performing correctly. As you can see in the pictures it small and compact. You simply plug it into the outlet and it will show testing. Once it is done testing it will inform you of weather your outlet is working correctly and the voltage. Over all this is a good product. The only down fall is if you outlet has no power it will not work. I would recommend this cost effective solution for testing your outlets.

> 3 dayFirst time using it the bottom plug pulled out. I would’ve put a lot of use to this being a maintenance supervisor and having to work on 70 houses. I will not buy this item or brand again, I’ll be sticking with Klein Tools for my maintenance department.

> 3 dayMy Dads older home still has some 2-prong (non-grounded) receptacles. I wanted to test them because grandfathered into old building codes or not, I dont think theyre safe. So when I saw the Aicevoos D2S Receptacle Tester I jumped on it. Of course, I failed to read the entire product title or I wouldve seen that its for 3-wire 120V outlets. DUH! So that was my bad... The good news is I can still test all the 3-wire outlets in his home and every outlet in my home too. I like the simplicity of it. Plug it in, let it do its thing, and then get a result on an LCD screen. Much easier than having to look through a reference chart to see what it means when certain LEDs are lit up in a certain order. Personally, I think everyone should go through their home or apartment and test all the outlets for safety and peace of mind. You probably werent there looking over the electricians shoulder during construction. But at least you can get your kids (if old enough) to go around and plug this device into every outlet you have. And if any of them display anything other than CORRECT, youll certainly find out about it in record time! (ha-ha)

> 3 dayThe meter is about 2 vac off and the hz reading always shows a steady 60hz even on a generator that was running at 64hz.

> 3 dayThis unit works so well and simply that even those of us who lack any understanding of electrical circuits can troubleshoot an outlet. Plug it in and watch it work. It is sophisticated enough to diagnose that my smart outlet expander is lacking a ground, despite it having a ground lug. I used it immediately to determine that my wife had turned off a light switch to a series of outdoor outlets, despite her protestations to the contrary. It was very nice to have an expert on my side.
