> 24 hourThere are all kinds of competitors out there. I selected this because of the stainless steel blade, orange plastic handle and commercial grade robust construction. It is not the most elegant on the market, but it is solid, practical, hard to misplace and if it does get left outside, it will not get trashed by the weather. Im an amateur woodworker so I honed the edge and polished the blade face to dress it up before presenting it to my wife. She wasnt sure what to think when I first gave it to her, Two weeks later, it doesnt leave her side. She uses it for everything including culling weeds, pot plants, trim suckers and small branches, and cut twine. Yesterday, she said it was the most considerate gift Ive given her, so i told her I intend to return the diamond earrings she got for her birthday!!!

> 24 hourI broke my Fiskars model from that large box store with the word home in it, and decided to try this as a replacement. Its fantastic! Equal to the one I had, sharp sturdy and convenient. A sheath would be nice, but I use the old one from fiskars. Then I found out my old one had a lifetime warranty. Sent them a picture and they replaced it free! Nice, who does THAT anymore?!? So now I have 2, and I must admit, the only drawback to this tool that makes it my second choice is the handle. While the nice bright color makes it easy to find when you stick it in the ground and forget where, the other model has a wooden handle which I find more comfortable. I guess if you wear gloves you wouldnt even notice, but I often work with out them, and in that case, this model is my second choice. Overall, consider the lifetime warrantee of the fiskars, and level of comfort you want from the handle, but no complaints with this one. Its an an awesome tool!

> 24 hourI purchased this based on the recommendation it was good for sod. The serenade edges or not wide enough to cut sod. We put down 7000 sqft of sod and it was horrible. It may be a great soil knife but do not buy this if your intent is to use it for cutting sod, which was my whole reason for this product. I have had a return request in for 2 week with the company and have had no response. Buyer be ware.....

> 24 hourThis is my go-to garden tool now. It is sharp, so you have to be careful as I have cut myself on it (like a paper cut). But I dig, and saw through strawberry vines with this tool. The plastic handle makes it easy to clean up and the weight and length of the tool make it super comfortable to use.

> 24 hourThe AM Leonard garden tool should be just what I needed to dig out my sprinkler heads and also to use with my metal detector. Its built very solid with a serrated blade on one side(Ill use fishing gloves to stop cuts). I bought this item because of others reviews...havent used it yet, but it appears quite sturdy for my purposes.
