This took approximately 20 seconds to put on my angle grinder and never came loose while I was using it. This device worked wonderfully at removing a lot of buildup on some of my sledgehammers and other tools within a minute or three, I had the little sledge in my image cleaned up and looking much better than before. With its regular size arbor, this wire wheel fit perfectly on our grinder.

This thing worked great at removing a bunch of build up on some of my sledgehammers and other tools-- within a minute or three I had the mini sledge in my picture cleaned up and looking far better than before. The only caution I would have with this-- and its true for pretty much anything involving an angle grinder-- this is not for precision work. While the wheel is holding up well, there are a couple of stray wires that stick out ~3/16 further than the others. So, keep this in mind if youre working close to wood or anything that would be easily torn up. Dont get too close or those few stray wires may chew up any nearby soft material. Overall, no complaints. Went on easy, worked great, price is reasonable. Cant really ask for much more than that.

I am a powdercoater and go through a lot of wire wheels. This one is a good as the best I have used. I normally get them from the local hardware and they are expensive. This one lasted well and is still usable. I dont like using them when they get too low. I also like the twisted wire rather than the untwisted. They may not leave as smooth of a surface but it seems to last at least 3 times longer and all I am doing is getting all the rust and paint off since I need the metal completely clean. My grinders are Dewalts and this fits perfectly. I do recommend this wheel and hope you find the review helpful.

We ordered this grinder brush without looking closely enough at the dimensions. It has a 5/8 inch threaded arbor and his angle grinder is for 1/2”. Obviously the shank will not thread in properly so this won’t work in the one we have. He took the grinder along to a relative’s house over Christmas and tested it out on their 5/8” grinder. It was easy to put together and stays in place well. The twisted carbon steel wires and metal support rings are sturdy and will get a decent amount of use before wearing out. This will come in handy for coarse “sanding”: removing corrosion, paint, burrs, and cleaning up weld seams. It can be used to prep a surface before painting too so that the paint will adhere better. The piece is rated up to 12,500 RPM which fits many standard angle grinders. I like that it says the rating right on the metal so you don’t put it in something rated for higher and overwork it. Overall, this will be a good tool accessory. 4” is a great size. Just wish we would have looked a little closer because now we’ll have to borrow a grinder when we want to use this.

Nice heavy duty wire wheel. Installed this on my porta cable angle grinder and works great at cleaning up paint, rust, and welds. Very strong and didnt show any sign of wear after several uses. Should last a good long time for the home hobbyist. Buy it and forget it!

First my change wish. I wish it was 4 1/2 not 4 That said the wheel worked fine on my Ryobi grinder. Really shortened the work of stripping paint and rust from my boat trailer frame. The coarse one wore well and got the job done. I didnt use the smaller wire wheel on this particular job so cant comment on it. Decent price for the two wheels. Id buy them again.

This wire wheel has held up great. Im prepping an old tractor engine block for paint. As you can imagine, the engine needed a lot of cleaning. Ive put hours on this wheel. It has of course worn down some, but much less than expected. Im honestly always impressed by Amazon brand quality.
