They should have hired a professional tech writer to write the instructions. They didnt. As they are, the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Ok, mea culpa, I didnt read the instructions quite close enough, but attention should have been given to stressing counterclockwise. And we should have been instructed where to find the base screw. Also, we should have been instructed to bring a phillips-head screwdriver to assembly. I believe that Im going to really like this fan a lot. Great look, great features. I recommend that Amazon hire a true professional to improve the assembly instructions - a short, cheap, smart step that will help Amazon customers to avoid such a simple step as screwing something on the wrong way. Also, the functions of the remote could be much better explained. I had to experiment with the remote to understand what did what. Addendum: This fan is great. It has 12 speeds and they are very easy to move up and down. The control panel on the fan lights up when you make changes, then it goes dark. It has memory; it remembers your settings when you turn it off. (Just dont unplug it.) Height and tilt are easily adjustable. And...at a great price.

Love this fan! Easy to put together, easy to use! The lights on the front even go out as to not keep you awake at night. This solid fan puts off a lot of air and is heavy enough to sit on plush carpet!

Took an all thumbs handy man less than 5 min to understand another 4 or so to hook er up and now chillin under the most refreshing, cooling wind gush you wouldnt believe (turned off the energy gobblin AC)! Ordered on the 16th arrived half-hour ago on the 19th --day later than offered, but hey 3 das. no worry! Now buckle up: was 55 bucks or order day, checked next day price has rocked to 85 Bucks! The one time I fought off the think-about-its it paid off big time. Your move.

Beautiful design love it - Build quality seems nice, but the fan blades are wobbly and you can hear and feel the unbalanced fan blades wobble while running. i might return for a different one.

I received the fan in a day and had it up and running in about 10 minutes. This fan is super quiet on many settings. And there are a lot of settings! One of my favorites is the natural setting where the air kind of comes and goes like a real outside breeze. I use this is my kitchen so appreciate the quietness. I just bought another for my bedroom and plan to adjust the setting a little higher so I get a bit of white noise. I really recommend it!
