Amazon Basics Zinc Traditional Bathroom Towel and Robe Hook

A very nice piece I put up to hang on the back of my bathroom door to hang an extra towel or a robe. Matches the rubbed bronze decor in my bathroom

These look very nice and are a good, heavy weight. The installation hardware included isnt my favorite for use on drywall so we will see how they hold up. The little screw at the bottom that tightens the hook to the mounting hardware seems like it wants to back out. Since these are holding wet, heavy towels Im not sure how they will hold up...

This was just what I wanted & expected to help Accessorize my bathroom decor. The metal is of a quality metal & it was very easy to mount.

I bought this as a replacement for a very similar looking one that used a plastic tab poked into a notch to hold it to the mounting plate. Well, who woulda thunk, but it broke! This one as a metal set screw to hold it to the mounting plate. Thats the way to do it!

Compared to our master baths Moen fixtures, this definitely does not have the patina or a study look. Shape is identical and I did not want to search around for the fixture builder installed once I did find the model number. Next time I will order the brand name product just for the look! Like to save money but dislike the less expensive look. And it shows.

I would have given this item five stars but the installation hardware is all wrong and it is not at all clear how long it will last on the wall or whether it will collapse under the weight of two heavy cotton bathrobes. The metal bracket is too short and the screw that secures the hanger to it must be pushed too far in to engage, to the point where it is hanging by less than a couple of threads. Does not feel secure. Also, the screws to attach the bracket to the wall are the wrong kind: tapered and with small head, barely larger than the slot. They should have had a larger head and be flat rather than tapered. See pics. This stuff doesnt cost anything to correct, but not enough thought went into the mounting hardware.

Works as advertised!! I dont like the drywall anchors though. They are your typical cheap drywall anchor. I buy different anchors from home depot or lowes. They last longer and dont pull out like the cheap ones.

Listed as a robe and towel hook, but the hooks are very shallow. Towels slide right off. Fine if you want a robe hook.

It looks nice, but it sure was a pain to thread the insert screw using an allen wrench against the wall. And I never could get it to tighten all the way. Just keep threading the screw...was afraid of it pushing thru all the way so I stopped. Also too pricey for what it is.

Love these towel hooks! Theyre gorgeous, and easy to install. I was worried about size - couldnt have sticking out too far due to a wall, but was worried about being too shallow and towel falling off. No worries at all, these work wonderfully! I installed using hollow core door anchors called Toggler TAs. Theyre right here on Amazon and work great.
