Not the best CPU on the market anymore since AMD released ZEN 5 and Intel released their 12th & 13th Gen but AMD 5000 series are definitely great CPUs! And if you play at 4K, games are GPU bound anyway!

Works great for gaming and productivity.

Runs like greased lightning, for the price there are no possible complaints I could issue. Would buy for any build without hesitation.

It was on sale for 385 and I couldnt pass it up. It is being cooled by a hyper 212 rgb black edition and doesnt go past 75c while gaming for hours. I dont overclock but it does boost single and all cores reliably. A noctua 120mm cooler or 140mm fans would be better but I didnt want to run I to clearance issues. My pc boots and opens programs very fast, blender and unreal engine is also no problem. I am very happy

Decided to upgrade from my 3900x to this....worst decision in my life!

Habe mich zwischen i9 12900k und Ryzen 9 5900x für letztere CPU entschieden, da sie nicht nur im Vergleich etwas günstiger ist, sondern ich auch nicht die neuesten anderen Komponenten kaufen muss. Wer noch mehr Power will, muss halt auch das Geld dafür ausgeben, aber für alle gängigen Spiele etc. ist diese CPU mehr als ausreichend.

Looking back at description I see no place that reveals this AMD Ryzen 9 5900x 12 core requires “discrete graphics card required “ I only noticed this is small print on box after I already installed it. Not sure if I was shipped wrong processor , scammed, or are just suppose to know all these type require purchase of new graphics card to be compatible. I knew motherboard was compatible. This was very disappointing after spending this kind of cash. I’m sure it can’t be returned because of Thermal paste on it….
