AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

This is definitely a fast processor but I would always recommend the top of the line model the 5950x

Amazing performance. Has no trouble in turboing to 4.7GHz and can also reach 4.9GHz if overclocked properly. The only downside is that it runs hot.

un monstre ce cpu par contre sa chauffe énormément en stock: je vous conseil de lui faire un undervolting et op consommation stable et température raisonnable perso 4500 sur 12 cores sans le brutaliser les doits dans le nez par contre watercoling en 360 ou custom obligatoire mon 280 corsair narriver pas a refroidir le monstre xd

Bought this Processor for a Vietnam Vet that likes to play video games. He has had this processor for less than 4 months now and ever since this build it has been NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!!!!! AMAZON First recommended the Asus Tuf Gaming Plus Wifi for the compatible board.. NOPE! when the board shipped, i had to order Another processor just to update the Bios to be compatible for this thing. Then it started causing overheating issues in that with the H150i Elite by Corsair. so I go with Rog Stix B550F Gaming... nope, doesnt even power on anymore in Either board. DO NOT BUY THIS PROCESSOR UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SCRAP GOLD!!!!! THAT IS ALL IT IS WORTH!!!! This is the reason they will not offer an Asurion insurance plan.

Upgraded from a Ryzen 7 3700x to this Ryzen 9 5900x. Significant improvement (as you would expect). The 5900x is much faster in all tasks and runs cooler than the 3700x. Another great thing is that, if you do not want to upgrade to AM5 (yet), it is a drop in replacement as long as you update your BIOS to the latest version. Recommended if you want to get some more life out of your AM4 socket. Not the latest greatest but still a very, very capable CPU

Despite BIOS updates making things slowly better over time, this CPU is the cause of many WHEA errors. There is a temporary workaround, which is disabling rushed shiny new features such as Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) causing instability, but then why not buy a 3900X instead and be better off.

Lo uso sobre todo para lightroom y photoshop. Antes tenía un ryzen 7 1700x.

I replaced an AMD 3800X, so of course I see a difference...but still, its a great CPU. It allows my to run my Vengence 4000MHZ memory at full speed now. The only problem? I got clipped by the mark up.
