AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

i was supossed to have a free game , receved nothing.

Amazing CPU as everyone is probably aware by now. Have been using this daily for just over a year. Installed in a X570 Aorus Pro WiFi/32gb 3600 mild oc @ 3733mhz/xfx Merc 6800xt. Have this rig plugged into a 27 155hz monitor and an OLED tv with 4k/120hz. Will last me a long time as I dont think Ill need a reason to upgrade for a while. This rig is a central entertainment center - music/movies/YouTube/games/etc. It gets a lot of use everything from my electric guitar to an E50 dac/L50 amp stack, another wireless dac/amp for when Im in my favorite chair and using the PC with the TV but need to be quiet, blah blah. For home use I dont really see how anyone could need more power is the point Im trying to make. Crushes every benchmark. Plays all games Ive tried with no issues and its a different experience with 4k/120hz on the TV thru the receiver and 5.1 surround sound. Loads all applications quickly. Its a little touchy to get above 1800 infinity fabric, but still can depending on your choice of mobo/ram combination and maybe a little luck.

Doesnt seem to want to work with all 4 sticks of RAM at XMP 3600mhz. Works at 3600mhz only with 1,2 and 3 sticks only but once I add the 4th stick it will not post. Need to downgrade the speed to 3200mhz to get a post. Even tried using a different batch of Corsair RGB RAM sticks but still same problem.

I have owned AMD for 10 years and they have always made great products. This worked very well for 5 months and then it quit working. WARRANTY PROCESS IS A NIGHTMARE!

The processor looks new and not used. Haven’t had time to install it yet but will update as soon I do. The box it came in was in good condition. The processor it’s self had no bent pins and no signs of left over paste or burn marks like some people have said. I am planning on installing tomorrow. I’ll update after.

Huge hole in the box which isn’t a problem but the item seems to be used and is broken which is disappointing since it’s supposed to be a new CPU

For those currently on X470 or X570, you dont need AMD 7000 series if you dont have the money for it. The 5900X and 5950X are still powerhouses on these chipsets and the price decrease specifically on the 5900X has made it an excellent choice if you want a powerful CPU at a low price.

I use to play games and do unreal engine and blender work. I aint even come close to using this thing to its max yet. I debated between this and the 5950x but If u dont for sure know your going to blast the thing balls to the wall this CPU is perfectly adequate for what im doing.
