American Marine PINPOINT pH Probe

> 24 hourWorks perfectly. I hooked it up to the HCS12 MC9S12C128 microcontroller and it produced proportional voltages correctly. Keep in mind that you need to purchase the calibration solutions (#7 and either/and #10, #4) to make sure your sensor is reading properly. The probe will read properly every time; negative voltages for one side of the pH scale and positive for the other. However, your sensor (be it homemade or bought) may not interpret and display the CORRECT pH value without calibration first.

> 24 hourDoesnt work! Probe arrived in a make shift box, looked used, and was dried out with a piece of paper towel in the probe cover! Save your money and buy somewhere else!

> 24 hourAfter shopping for a replacement PH sensor for my old Polaris Watermatic C-600 ORP/pH Controller and finding the going price around $200, I decided to give this probe a shot. It works perfectly and I am once again able to calibrate the controller. Physically the probe may be slightly smaller in diameter as I had some trouble getting a good seal. It did arrive loose in a box without any packing material, but because of its weight and the 10 of lead I dont think it moved around much. The tip of the probe was in a vial of solution as it should be.

> 24 hourThis works great with the Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper Elite. All I did was calibrate it using pinpoint 7 and 10 pH fluid and it works perfect.

> 24 hourWriting this review after 1 year of use. So far is has worked great and is a good value. I have it working with the Atlas Scientific board in my Reef-Pi setup. The much more expensive Atlas probe died after 1 year and was not as accurate. So I would buy this again in future.

> 24 hourThese work until they don’t. They need to be calibrated every 3 months or so and replaced every year. I recommend if you have the space in your tank or sump running 2 (the Neptune Apex has 2 Ph ports). Why not? Nothing worse than seeing parameters drift with no explanation. You’ll know when they stop working because suddenly your PH will become erratic or drift. They’re no better or worse than the Neptune “brand” version. I recommend getting some Ph solution to make sure they arrive calibrated correctly. I have ordered 2 and both have been good out of the box but you never know.

> 24 hourYou must have calibration fluids to make this probe accurate.

> 24 hourWorks great with bluelab combo meter for hydroponics. good replacement and a better build quality than the blue lab.

> 24 hourI have the meter and probe . all works good . need sometimes to unplug and replug to stop the jumpy reading . clean the probe replug all works well . my set up it a 24 hour set up. the probe is a 5. the meter is a 4

> 24 hourHas anyone noticed these are slightly smaller diameter than normal and require extra tightening of the ph port gland in your calcium reactor?
