> 3 dayThink my door is older that I thought it was... But didn’t let that stop me. Epoxied the cracked plastic handle and put a piece of copper wire in it to firm it up. Then I cut a slot in the aluminum so the lock can rotate into the metal. It won’t stop a burglar but my dog who figured out that he can open the door is in for a surprise. Couldn’t be happier.

Greater than one weekSecures screen door closed from mild pressure. My cats can no longer open screen with their paws and and then leave open for bugs and their pleasure. (photo 1). The screen pet door is too much trouble. Ha! (pic 2). One note, be careful you dont inadvertently turn the tab to lock position while the door is open as you could clip the tab of if you close the screen hard. I think that is what happened to mine. It lasted 15 years.
