Anime Studio Debut 9

Nice easy to use program.

Sooooo disappointed. you get some basic stuff and have to purchase additional characters, etc., etc. Not worth what I paid.

I should give this program 4 stars because it isnt rally intuitive to use. If you are used to the workflow of a typical drawing program (ie Corel, Adobe, or even AutoCAD), then this will be a bit confusing at first. However, they do have a nice (written not video unfortunately) tutor on using the product, and I have to tell you that I am impressed with it. It is actually very powerful and can do some neat things. Below you will find a link to a YouTube video I did using this program (and a couple of others). In this software I drew the character and animated its mouth to the vocal track using that built-in feature. After adjusting my audio in Audacity to tone down some of the peaks in the audio, it worked great. I still dont know all there is to know about the program, but it is very powerful, especially for the Debut version. I would find it hard to justify buying the newer and more expensive Pro version 10 at $200 for how little I need animation in the things I do (I am NOT a professional animator nor am I very good at drawing cartoons...I am an Electrical Engineer goofing off on YouTube). I paid less than $10 for it and I would have bought Debut 10 at its typical price had I known if the program was actually this cool (although again, awkward to use for someone experienced with graphic design software like myself). Their built-in help system is a joke (non-existent by & large), buy thats what YouTube is for these days!. Anyway, check out my video of this and enjoy (details below)! Daughter uses it said it fine

Not overly complicated which is nice for non-technos like myself. As a result, making the first simple animation from scratch doesnt take long. For now Im just getting more familiar with the tools and features so I can start producing the animations I want.

Learned so much already, so easy to use. Works great with drawing pad. Additional tutorials lifesaving.

I was amazed at how much the product does. I am just starting to learn how to do the cartoons. But I am very happy with the price and the product. I would recommend it to anyone.

This product is awesome Im still learning how to use it. I love the bone rigging tool and the character wizard help a lot.
