> 3 dayGrandaughter does lots of animation and shes only 11, but this is a great program. I would suggest it for intermediate computer users as it isnt for beginners, but has some great features.

> 3 dayJust got this thing about a few days ago. Started to look through tutorials and how-tos on this software. When I was messing with it for the last couple of hours, I had some likes and dislikes about it. Things I Liked: - Frame-by-Frame/Timeline: The timeline helped out a lot while I was messing around with making animations. Almost as easy as Adobe Flash. - Bone System: The bone system was also a nice little feature that saved me a lot of time. Its a nice feature, but I rather go with Frame-by-Frame animation as it gives me more control. -Freehand Drawing (Pen Pressure) The pen pressure feature helped when I was doing some rough sketches of making characters in animation. Things I Disliked: After 30 minutes of using the software, I found out this wasnt really as user-friendly as Adobe Flash. Heres why: -When doing the Freehand Drawing, there isnt any easy erase tool if you mess up your lines. Its either you have to undo it, or use the joints and fiddle around with the line until it fits your liking. -The scene settings didnt allow for me to have the resolution at HD. If you wanted something WideScreen, best go with 640x480 if you want to upload on Youtube. Conclusion: The software isnt entirely bad. For 22 dollars, its worth the money, but I kind of wish Smith Micro added a little bit more. Then again, they have a pro version, but its 300 dollars. Not worth my money. If you want something really user-friendly, try out Adobe Flash if you have 600 dollars lying around with you. Just be sure what you want to do with the software, for Anime Studio 9 isnt for everybody. I give it 4 stars because while its not the most user-friendly software there is, for only 20 dollars, its worth it.

> 3 dayI should give this program 4 stars because it isnt rally intuitive to use. If you are used to the workflow of a typical drawing program (ie Corel, Adobe, or even AutoCAD), then this will be a bit confusing at first. However, they do have a nice (written not video unfortunately) tutor on using the product, and I have to tell you that I am impressed with it. It is actually very powerful and can do some neat things. Below you will find a link to a YouTube video I did using this program (and a couple of others). In this software I drew the character and animated its mouth to the vocal track using that built-in feature. After adjusting my audio in Audacity to tone down some of the peaks in the audio, it worked great. I still dont know all there is to know about the program, but it is very powerful, especially for the Debut version. I would find it hard to justify buying the newer and more expensive Pro version 10 at $200 for how little I need animation in the things I do (I am NOT a professional animator nor am I very good at drawing cartoons...I am an Electrical Engineer goofing off on YouTube). I paid less than $10 for it and I would have bought Debut 10 at its typical price had I known if the program was actually this cool (although again, awkward to use for someone experienced with graphic design software like myself). Their built-in help system is a joke (non-existent by & large), buy thats what YouTube is for these days!. Anyway, check out my video of this and enjoy (details below)! See a video I put together using MAGIX Music Maker 2015 Premium (for the Organ Music), Anime Studio Dubut 9 (for the character animation), Rhino 3D version 3 (for the restaurant rendering) and Audacity (for the voice of Zordar and background noises). Copy the Youtube video link into your browser and enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DcO0vaW5CA The title of the video is: Court Blazers - Zordar of the Legal Empire which is a spoof of Star Blazers from series 2. If you just take the title and Google it that will get you to the video also.

> 3 dayI bought this for my wife since she attends the Art Institute, I know she wants to learn how to create manga and anime so I bought her this as well as the manga studio. She loves it! Smith Micro has all of the software to help people like my lady out to become a wonderful creator. Oh and let me not forget to mention how fast it came. I bought it on a Sunday, 21, 2014 and I got it Tuesday,23,2014. The expected date was a the 26th so Im happy she got it before Christmas.
