Because the UV Light & Heat Lamp are all in one it is not possible to provide light for 14 hours and heat for 24. To provide good conditions, a separate heat lamp is required to keep the area warm at night. The fixture is sturdy and the flexible neck makes it easy to direct the light and heat where the turtles like to bask. The unit was reasonably priced.

I really needed something in a pinch for my turtles as the original light stopped working a few days ago. These bulbs came in a small box, There wasnt any bubble wrap or air bags to keep it cushioned but they are not damaged. I have tested one of the bulbs and it seems to work perfectly fine. I uploaded photos to show the difference in size. The standard is a lot bigger, but these will do for now. Im happy to have gotten a four pack, it saves me the trouble from having to run to a pet shop or shopping on Chewy. I will update this review if anything comes up, just to detail the bulbs life. I dont expect it to last too long but I have to keep an eye out for that.

I love the idea behind this light- good quality clamp with a flexible neck and a dimmer switch this is basically every reptile keepers dream. I was not completely wowed with the product however. There are some other options on the market with newer tech (push button controls for dimmer and normally built in timer features) as well as with longer necks and with shrouds over the light fixture at the same price point that work super well. For a basic flex light this one does the job. The other draw back is the included bulbs. Both bulbs received with the package are not for the lack of a better word choice square as seen in the included pic and they are open lights without a shield over the bulb- which is probably better for heat but I would caution using a bulb of this style over an aquatic setup for the fear of water splash.

Amazing little lamp for a gecko. We’ve been looking for a good basking/heating lamp for our leopard gecko. A lot of the ones we have tried just didn’t really see, give off much heat, they weren’t easily adjustable, or they didn’t have the right type of clip to work on the tank we have, with the top we have. This light easily clips onto the side of the tank and fits into the space the aquarium hood allows for. It’s slimmer size allows us to bend the light into the tank so our gecko gets more of the heat he wants, especially now in the winter months. The adjustable switch is nice as well, because we can turn the heat down or change how powerful the light is during different seasons and times of the day. The gecko lives with a teenager and she likes to be able to turn his light down at night when she is asleep. The gecko still gets the heat he needs but she isn’t kept awake, which is nice for everyone in the family. It’s a great lamp for the price and would make any cold blood creature happy!

My baby turtles went to bask almost immediately when I hooked it up. It comes with 2 different bulbs 25w or 50w. I used the 50w and there’s a dimmer switch so you can adjust it even more.

I bought this light for my tortoises cage. The larger lights are far too bulky. This lamp is small, but its also quite warm. I also like the way it attaches to his tank, eliminating the lamp that will turn off if I bump it. This light does come with two different size bulbs for a small and large enclosure. I chose to use the warmer bulb and Ive found it keeps his tank at that perfect 95 degrees. i very highly recommend this light.

I was skeptical about using such a small bulb, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I have a red earred slider (RES) turtle in a 55-gallon aquarium. She was due for a new UV bulb, so I used one of these. Its small, but it produces a lot of heat! My turtle used to bask here and there but spent most of her time hanging out in the water. Since installing this bulb shes spent a lot more time basking on her floating dock. She seems to enjoy this bulb more than the pricier UV bulbs I was using before. I cant speak to the longevity of this bulb, as Ive only had it in there for one week, but so far so good! We turn the light on in the morning when we get up (7am) and we turn it off before bed (10-11pm), so its on for long hours. It comes on right away and starts producing heat within seconds. My turtle approves.

Turtles we’re getting a little cold and didn’t want a super big one with high heat. Put this on and in 5 minutes they came out of hiding! You can adjust the light(heat) which is great!! Highly recommended!! 5 Stars!!

This is perfect. It keeps Stan (my turtle) nice and toasty on his Sun rock. Came with two bulbs, one as a back up. Id probably suggest yall work on how you package the bulbs cause they were both pretty banged up when i got them but still works.

Weve been pleased with these lights. My son uses them in the daytime for his turtles, and a plain heat bulb at night. We have learned with this type of bulb to keep lots of extras on hand, though. Sometimes they last a good while and sometimes they go out quickly. This one hes currently using has lasted a little while now. It works well and give his turtles a sun.
