> 3 dayAmazing little lamp for a gecko. We’ve been looking for a good basking/heating lamp for our leopard gecko. A lot of the ones we have tried just didn’t really see, give off much heat, they weren’t easily adjustable, or they didn’t have the right type of clip to work on the tank we have, with the top we have. This light easily clips onto the side of the tank and fits into the space the aquarium hood allows for. It’s slimmer size allows us to bend the light into the tank so our gecko gets more of the heat he wants, especially now in the winter months. The adjustable switch is nice as well, because we can turn the heat down or change how powerful the light is during different seasons and times of the day. The gecko lives with a teenager and she likes to be able to turn his light down at night when she is asleep. The gecko still gets the heat he needs but she isn’t kept awake, which is nice for everyone in the family. It’s a great lamp for the price and would make any cold blood creature happy!

> 3 dayMy tortoise loves this heating lamp! Definitely recommend to help your turtle bake in the sun whenever theres not enough sunlight for them. The different settings are a plus too.

> 3 dayDepending on how close the light is, it gets really warm for my terrapin so I keep the light 10inch away from the spot. I don’t know the longevity at the moment but definitely good value for money. Gets really hot so be careful not to touch it! Only lamps! Note: Doesn’t come with the stand and socket.

> 3 dayDISCLAIMER: This review is solely based on my personal experience/usage of the product. Yours might be different. I got these light bulbs to add some light basking spot for my tortoise hatchling. I have tested the bulbs using UV light testing cards and they do indeed generate UVB lights. However, its very very weak and please dont rely on these as the sole source of your UVB light if your have reptiles larger than a couple of inches.

04-06-2025These little lights give off a lot of heat so it took some testing to get the distance just right for our turtle. Also, they shouldnt be left on for more than a few hours -- they get really hot! These are also smaller than the lights I typically use. Also, its important to know that these are open-faced bulbs; they dont have a glass piece across the top. They are little glass bulbs sitting inside a reflector. Super easy to screw into the lamp base. Unfortunately, the first bulb I used went out after the first week so Im taking off one star for longevity.

> 3 dayThe terrarium for a couple constrictors that live with us is in one of the darker rooms of the house. This light provides the daylight spectrums to help keep them healthy. The lamp gooseneck is flexible, and clamps easily to a 3/4-inch board. The on/off switch is also a dimmer control, allowing a specific amount of light (and heat) to be emitted. For us, the 25w light at full power is adequate - we dim down the 50w light. Concerns are around the lifetime of the H4 bulbs...but since we have the light not clamped to the terrarium, the chances of it getting bumped while on are reduced. In any case, you want to wait until the unit has cooled before moving it. (Edit) 25w bulb lasted 2 weeks, bumped the stars down accordingly.

> 3 dayGreat pack of bulbs. My local stores dont carry large packs like this. I love the savings of the bulk pack. And these bulbs work very well for my small tanks.

> 3 dayWe got this for our turtle and he likes it a lot better than the previous one. It comes with two different watt bulbs, which is nice. The lower watt bulb is great for our needs. I like the big clip and movable arm, it makes it easy to clip it anywhere and adjust how close/how hot it will feel for the animal. You can also dim the light if you don’t wanna move it around a lot and that helps too!

> 3 dayI got the 50W bulbs, and they get very hot (I had raise the light about two inches) but after some adjustments I got the temperature just right for my red eared slider to bask in. Two things that are different than the previous bulb; one they are quite a bit smaller, probably about half the size. Two, there is no glass across the bottom of the bulb, instead this small bulb sits in a dome reflector (see the third picture). Probably not the best for aquatic lights suscepectable to splashing.
