This is a good kit. Lots of tests left in the kit after the initial cycling of the tank. I bought this separately because I still have some old Doc Wellfish (same company..old moniker) Ammonia, Nitrate, Ph, GH, and KH, kits...they still work and they are over 18 years old! Much better than strips. If youre starting from scratch...I would get the master kit.

Good product. Use it daily as it tells me when a water change is needed. Have used it for years.

Add the drops to the vial of aquarium water and wait 5 minutes, compare the color to the color chart on the provided card - not hard. API has been around a long time, so I will assume accuracy of the test results.

Works well -easy to use

Purchased it yesterday and checked water in my fish tank. It showed 1.0. I added ammonia reducer and tested again next day and it showed 0.25. Looks like it works! The only thing I didnt like that it has two bottles and tube is too thin and you should find really flat surface for it when you change bottles.

Kit did not work. Exact same reading from tap water and filtered water. I had both professionally tested and they were very different. Company do give immediate refund though. Good customer service.
