Greater than one weekThese filters are very easy to change and becasue of the number of fish and the size of one plecostimous, I have to change these every week. You just need to rinse them slightly before putting them into the Aqueon pump assembly to get the loose charcoal out of them and then just slip them into place. The cost on line with home delivery, was still less than what I would have spent for gas into Madison from where we live. Plus the cost at the Pet stores has to pay for the store, the lights, the A/C and the people standing around to help you. This is just a more efficient process.
