Aqueon Replacement Filter Cartridges Medium - 6 pack

I wish I could rate this item as 0 stars. When I bought my fish tank, they sent me a filter cartridge as part of a starter pack. I rinsed it until there was no carbon dust and put it in there. It worked, but the water still was dirty. I had to use a big pipette to suck up waste. (Marina Betta Waste Remover) At this rate, I would rate it 5 stars because it was probably the pumps fault. After a month, I went to Amazon, and rinsed it. The carbon dust would not quit. I rinsed away the black stuff, but then more kept reappearing. I thought, maybe I dont need to rinse it anymore, so I replaced the old one. Carbon was still washing out, so I put it on a paper towel and took another filter and did the same thing. Rinsing still took a long time, but it eventually stopped - kinda - so I put it in. It was good. The pictures show the yellow water, the fish tank (with yellow water), and the newest filter that I used for 3 hours. The earlier ones were covered with yellow/brown stuff. But then, the next morning, I discovered that it rusted on the filter, causing yellow/brown streaks to appear on the sides of the walls. And the water turned yellower. Not only did it fail, it put my fishs lives in danger. I scrubbed the yellow/brown streaks on the walls of my fish tank away (it was like rust - SO hard to clean), and checked the filter that dried overnight on the paper towel. It was yellow, and so was the paper towel. Great. Then, I thought, maybe it is just some mistake the company made while making it. So I returned it, and bought another pack at Petsmart. After applying it (It still took a long time rinsing - I ended up soaking and dumping the water out - still unsatisfied. Why was it like this? The first one I got was perfect!) I waited for a couple of hours. Yellow/brown stuff again. What should I do? The water is not clear, I even checked it with a pure white background. If this results in the death of my fish, I am complaining to Aqueon. I liked this company, until now. Just saying, I bought a betta falls fish tank from Aqueon. Does anyone have suggestions to fix this? The pictures show the fish tank with yellow water, the compartment where I put the filter with yellow water, and the filter with yellow/brown stuff. the earlier filters were covered in that, along with the compartment.
