12 years of foster cats and feral cats. It has been fun but we have had our fair share of pee, poop, vomit and even blood on our Berber carpet. We have been very diligent about cleanup with pet odor products and regular carpet cleaning. However, the carpet developed a cat pee odor that was very noticeable in the warm, humid summers here. The carpet itself is a workhorse that was still in great condition, so I didn’t want to replace it, but the pee smell was making me depressed and ready to tear the carpet out especially as we were having relatives coming this summer. I found this product on Amazon and after reading positive reviews, I thought I would give it a try. It is nothing short of a miracle. The cat pee scent is gone! Really really totally gone. Now, over a month later, I smell freshness where I had been smelling cat pee. It has been humid most of the summer but the carpet still smells good. I couldn’t be more pleased. I would recommend this product to any pet owner who has similar experiences. The only negative aspect of Pet Fresh is the initial odor, like really strong baby powder. The strong odor dissipates in about 3 days leaving freshness in its wake. Thank you Arm and Hammer for this effective solution!

Do doubt the product does smell fresh and eliminates odors for a period of time when used regularly. However this is my 2nd time making the purchase online and I’m 100% sure the packaging is smaller than the one before. Which in the end it’s not worth the price back to store purchasing I will go….

I waited a few days after using the product to give it a review. Had I not waited I probably would have given it one star for the smell alone, BUT it ended up actually really working and the smell becomes less potent after a couple of days. We have a seven month old puppy who still occasionally has accidents in front of her crate on the carpet in our bedroom. I have tried everything. When I say everything, I mean everything. Listerine, vinegar, carpet shampoo, you name it. Nothing has worked on the urine smell. I sprinkled this product on all of the carpet in our bedroom (took almost a whole box), and let it sit for about fifteen minutes, then vacuumed. At first I immediately regretted it because the scent is so strong. It’s very abrasive and floral, like perfume, which is why I’m giving it four stars instead of five. But now that it has had a few days to calm down it actually smells good and I can’t smell the urine at all! I’m amazed at how quickly and efficiently this product worked.

I like this for its ability to help pick up and do away with odors especially since I only vacuum like once every six weeks and the only recommendation I have is that they come up with a better spout opening because you can end up dumping the whole box and so needs some sort of redesigned opening to better control the flow of the powder.. and maybe come up with some different scents as its a little too sweet for a guys place maybe something that smells more like roast beef or stale beer or something... as you can guess Im not too domesticated...

Hard to tell if it is effective since the added scent is so strong, but after a week with the windows open and it dissipates enough sleep in the room comfortably.
