First pair I got were a bit bent, but manufacturer let me keep the bent one and sent me a new one. I straightened out the bent one and gifted it to a friend. Otherwise, took me all the way through my pilots license no issue. Ive stuffed it in a back pack full of pilot stuff and it has yet to bend or distort. The ink on it has not ran and remains in near perfect condition after almost 4 years of use.

Purchased for ground school, excellent built quality and easy to read.

If you need to use this tool, this is by far one of the nicest ones Ive seen. Prior to this I was using a cheap piece of junk cardboard one. Yes, it technically worked, but it was sloppy. This one is made very well and the coloring makes it very easy and quick to read and distinguish between different readings. The center piece has a nice solid fit and slides very smoothly with no sloppy play that you have to compensate for. I would definitely recommend this E6B.

If you want a classic old school vintage aviation experience this is excellent! I wanted to learn this to be in touch with the past and see how my dad and grand father did things . However when it was time for me to take the FAA test I used a digital calculator just more precise and modern . But this is extremely high quality build and a great product for what it is !

ASA"s color E6-B is enhanced with color for quick identification of key elements and easier readability. The new color E6-B is based on ASA"s most popular model: slide-rule-style flight computer, the ASA-E6B. It"s identical in size to the venerable favorite, made with the same solid aluminum construction and featuring all the functionality pilots have relied on for decades. On the circular side, black is used for the rate arrow and units to be calculated, red is used for weight and volume and blue is used for distance, time and temperature scales. On the wind side, colors are used to identify wind variation: blue identifies west (or right wind correction angle) and red identifies east (or left wind correction angle).
