Greater than one weekI got in my truck yesterday to pick up a take-out sandwich and go visit a friend. My indicator panel told me I had a low air tire. I realized it was time to test my new tire inflator. I chose to use the car adapter because I felt the battery would probably work, but I suspected more than one tire was low, and this is a full-sized pickup truck, not a little car so there’s a fair amount of weight on those tires. I will test the battery option sometime when I am not so hungry, perhaps on my air mattress. So, the cord reached just far enough…barely. I do wish the cord were just a foot longer for the adapter. That, however is my ONLY complaint. With the truck running, I got plenty of power to add 10 pounds to one tire, 3 to another, and the front tire needed 7. The truck’s digital panel tells me how much it reads in each tire, and when I was finished with all 4 tires, the numbers were perfect. The digital readout on the machine doesn’t work perfectly as I pumped, but it’s good enough. The actual tire pressures were where they were supposed to be when I was done. Doing all 4 tires only took maybe 15 to 20 minutes which I considered to be amazing. It wasn’t a fast fill up, but it was efficient and did the job right there in my driveway. I told my friend about it and now he wants one for his truck. This little compressor worked like a charm and could definitely get me out of trouble out on the highway someday. I’m so happy I have it. What a great tool. The photos in the description are accurate and show the product very well. This is something almost everyone should have in their vehicle, but especially those of us with older trucks that are getting the leaky rim syndrome. It was super easy to use…actually easier than the gas station air pumps for me. This woman calls this an excellent product.

> 3 dayPerfect for keeping under the car seat. It isnt too large. Had a battery pack or cigarette lighter adaptor. Every few months I need to top off my air pressure to keep my tps system from giving me an error. I usually keep apt 36psi in my tires and when I started inflating they only had 33psi it only took about 10seconds on each tire to get to 36psi. The built in air gauge to set how much was great.

22-11-2024This is awesome for the average homeowner who needs to inflate bicycle tires and occasionally inflate a car tire. Dont know about you, but every time I go to the gas station to fill my tire (after the tpms light comes on), the air compressor either costs money, is broken, or there is a long line. Hah! No more of that. Just attach this unit to your tire and the led shows you the current tire pressure. Enter in the pressure you want and click the trigger and it inflates the tire to that pressure and automatically shuts off. I checked pressure with a second tire gauge afterwards and it was spot on. So easy that I am looking for other tires to fill! In my opinion, this would make a great housewarming gift for someone to add to their tool collection.

> 3 dayThis is a great air compressor for the price. I like the two options to operate the air compressor without the need to purchase any accessories. One option is the rechargeable 20V battery for extreme portability. The second option is via a 12V auxiliary power outlet (the cigarette lighter port), which is connected to a dummy batter (which may also be an inverter since the 20V battery and the 12V DC plug provide the same PSI). Previously I mentioned that the battery provides maximum portability for the air compressor, but the DC plug has a very long cord, which also aids its portability. This air compressor is not as loud as some other portable air compressors I own, but it still has some volume to it. I really like the safety/intelligent features of this air compressor. I like being able to attach this to my tire in the garage, set the desired pressure, and know it will automatically shut off when the preset pressure value is reached. This feature is beneficial for individuals that want to avoid the loud noise of any air compressor (remote or wired) altogether. One negative is that this does not come with a charger for the 20V battery, but it can be charged with a 5V/2.4A power adapter. I did want to correct the Sellers page, which indicates that this air compressors battery is charged via Micro USB because the 20V battery is actually charged via USB-C and NOT Micro USB. 5 Star Product

> 3 dayAfter some success with the battery (doesnt last long), the 12 VDC charger did not work.

> 3 dayIts too bulky to stow on my motorcycle, but my full size SUV accommodates it nicely. The quick-connect attaches securely, and is nice and snug - no signs of air leakage once locked. It also releases cleanly with very little air escaping. The LED lights surrounding the hose provide good illumination. The various modes are basically pressure presets; expect to have to adjust them for your specific needs. It does remember the last pressure setting for each mode, which is nice! The auto-shutoff is a very welcome (albeit common) feature for inflators nowadays. I compared the pressure readings to another digital tire pressure gauge that I have; this pump tended to read a couple of tenths above the other pressure gauge. I would consider that within an acceptable margin of error. My SUVs all-terrain tires were all at 30 psi. I first used the pump, on car voltage (with engine running, so about 14.5V), and raised a tire from 30 to 35psi in 4 minutes. I then switched to the included battery (18.5V), and raised the next tire from 30 to 35psi in half the time - 2 minutes. I continued on that second tire up to 40 psi, then raised the third tire from 30 to 40psi in 4:30; fourth tire from 30 to 40psi in 5 minutes. There was only enough juice left in the battery to raise the first tire from 35 to 38psi before the battery ran out. So, the pump does run better on the rechargeable battery than on car voltage; makes sense, since the rechargeable batterys voltage is higher. The battery capacity is very decent; I estimate that you could easily fully inflate one flat car tire with maybe a little bit of juice to spare. All in all, I am pleased with this pumps performance. The battery adds great versatility if youre away from an external power source. I do recommend this product for your consideration.

> 3 dayGot this today. I immediately tried it and it now replaces the inflater Ive had for a few years. There are quite a few of these inflaters out there. I like this one for two reasons - it can be used with its internal battery or plugged into your cigarette lighter. The other reason is mentioned in the headline - the connecter is the push and clamp down type of connecter that you see on bike pumps. This is way better than the screw on type of connecter which normally gives me fits, trying to screw it on to the valve stem. My only concern is how long this device will hold a charge. It could spend a year sitting in my trunk until its needed. If the battery does drain down in that time, Im glad the adapter with a decent amount of wire is included. I gave the screw on type of inflater to my son - its his problem now!

19-11-2024I love the convenience of this rechargeable air compressor. I check my tire pressure regularly and add air as necessary. The preset psi works great to shut it off when you reach the right pressure, and I confirmed the accuracy with a separate tire gauge. With my old unit, I had to plug into my car battery, and it took much longer to air up the tires. I had to worry about blown fuses, and the cord was a pain. None of that hassle with this one. It comes with attachments to fill other things as well. There is a needle for balls and a rubber tip for filling inflatable pools/toys. I have this in my garage right now, but it would also be good to keep in the trunk for emergencies. The light is not the brightest, but its enough to help you see what youre doing. As much as I like this tool, I took a star off because there is no way to keep all of the accessories together. You cant even clip them on to the unit itself. The lack of a case to protect the compressor and organize the parts is quite disappointing, and I will have to find something to use for this purpose.

> 3 dayAwesome little air compressor! In the past I would have to stop at a gas station and hope their air compressor worked. Or pull a heavy air compressor from the shed and carry it 100 ft across the yard! Not to mention, low tire pressure almost always happens when it is raining or you dont have time to deal with the drama! This will make it so much easier for me to air up my tires! (I filled my tires to 32 PSI) * Was easy to use and came with an instruction manual. The manual was easy to understand and well written. * Has 4 modes: Bicycle mode, Motorcycle mode, car mode and Basketballs mode * Has 4 unit modes: PSI, Bar, kPa, kg/cm * You can set it to the PSI pressure you want and it automatically shuts off when the pressure is reached. * Has a battery life indicator on the screen, which is really helpful. * Has 6 LED lights on the front, for filling tires in the dark. * When you hook it up to a tire it immediately gives you a pressure reading on the tire, to let you know if you need to fill it. This was helpful, because my son over filled my back tires and I was able to slowly remove the extra pressure. * Comes with a Lithium battery and a 12 Volt cord that is installed in a battery shaped piece of plastic. Which is useful, because you can slide on the battery or slide on the 12-volt cord, depending on your needs. * Comes with some attachments for filling other things like basketballs. *** Update*** My Sons best friend just used this to fill the tires on his truck to 44 PSI. He used it to test his tires level and to fill one tire. He said it worked great, but it was slow and the hose got hot while filling it.

> 3 dayI have a couple normal compressors, but theyre both a hassle to get out when I just need to air up the tires a few PSI. I got the AstroAI Air Compressor with the intention of it solving for that use case. I thought the form factor would be a REALLY nice feature, considering that the compressor can stand upright on its own. The reality, though, is that the usefulness is limited by the really short inflator hose. Even with 245/40-19s its easy for the valve step to be up and out of reach. Ive had to put the AstroAI on an overturned bucket on more than one occasion. While its awesome to not have a 12V cord strung back to an Aux power jack in your car, its good to have reasonable expectations of what you can do with that battery. I ran it down by 3/4 by filling 4 tires from ~35 PSI to 42 PSI. You set inflation pressure on the device, and it shuts off when it reaches the setting. Thats a nice feature because you dont have to keep checking the pressure. Its also good from the standpoint that the inflator is tragically slow. Filling larger tires, or from lower pressures (or both) could be a real problem for this unit. Its worth noting that you probably dont want to run this thing for long periods of time, either, as the compressor just isnt built for that. Speaking of batteries, this battery pack appears to be completely proprietary. While its possible that this will last for years and years, you will still have to (eventually) deal with the battery dying and not holding a charge. Fortunately, it looks like its made of normal 14500 cells, so you can rebuild the thing yourself (if you have 30 minutes, and a good attitude). For seasonal tire top-offs, bike tires, and pool toys, this is a decent occasional use inflator. Conditionally Recommended
