Athalon Everything Boot Bag/Backpack - Ski - Snowboard

This is the best bag! I can fit everything in on spot. Ski boots on the side and in the middle: heavy jacket, 2 heavy pants, 4 base layers, helmet, goggles, gloves, and socks. Love this bag!

Fits boots, helmet and a lot of clothes. When it’s full it’s heavy and bulky. I wouldn’t want to carry it for long

First impressions, I am very excited to use this bag. After 20 years of lugging my boots around my neck and all of my gear in a duffle bag with my helmet popped on my head, I can finally store everything in one bag and actually not look like a first timer. I’ve been too cheap in the past to buy myself a new bag. But I’m so happy I did. Packed it up last night for my first trip of the season and I am so excited. Fits everything I need. Got one for me and one for my boyfriend as well!

My husband told me he wouldnt use the (hidable) straps, but found them handy when he had to carry his own stuff and help another skier who had been injured. We did snip the stitching on one edge of the top inside fabric casing so we could melt the ends of the straps and handle more, given the reviews indicating that the handle ends can strip and pull out (thanks to reviewers who indicated this from their own experience!). We found that these ends could be melted more completely (my husband used a soldering iron for control, since the ends are short) so they couldnt strip and were fatter; my husband then tacked the casing back to the still-hot material, saving me some hand-sewing work. Everything else appeared very well made. He did have to write on it with a silver sharpie for labeling, as it has no built-in shipping tag and reviews say add-on strap ones tear off in airline transit. He had no problems whatever with this on his trip, and was amazed and amused at how much he could pack... and pack... and pack... into this after he had his boots and helmet in the appropriate compartments. He loved it! It carried everything his ski bag didnt. Definitely appreciate Athalons workmanship in general and would buy other products from them as needed.

2022 Update: I just bought my 4th bag. The previous 3 purchases were my sons, mine and 1 for my wife. All have performed excellent. Im replacing the same bag that lasted 12 years and frankly that one is still serviceable except for a couple small holes at the seams at the bottom of the boot storage area which I could probably easily fix and Ill give it to my daughter. The new bag does have a chemical smell and Ill return the bag if it doesnt resolve in a few days. We bought this for my teenage son for carrying his ski boots, helmet, ski pants and ski clothing etc. The bag is perfectly sized for this. For anyone familiar with Transpack bags, this Athalon bag is very similar, and although slightly different shape, it seems to have the same capacity. I would say this Athalon bag is a step up in quality from Transpack and even my teenage son noticed the high quality. I would highly recommend this bag and I might even buy one for myself :) 2/5/11 EDIT: I was so pleased with the quality and capacity of my sons Athalon Everything Boot bag, I got one for myself. Without problem it holds ski boots, ski pants, long underwear, sweat pants, two shirts, sweat shirt, ski sox, a pair of shoes and my helmet. There are extra pockets to hold more. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and there is padding between your back and pack. 1/22/13 EDIT: Ive lugged this bag to and from the mountain close to 50 times and the bag is still in excellent condition. Very pleased with my purchase.

Pretty happy with this bag! Flew with it, checked it, flew back, and no straps broke. It’s honestly a blessing to have when walking to and from the car. It fit: boots, helmet, jacket, pants, inner layers, goggles, gloves and would fit maybe one more piece of clothing and a few random small things in the extra pockets. You won’t have to worry about having enough space with these. Overall very happy!! I would recommend. I was scared of those other $20 bags that all reviews said would break immediately so I decided to pay double or triple the price for that peace of mind. Hopefully the ROI will be pretty good on this purchase. Will update if it breaks.

This was a Christmas gift and I LOVE this bag. It does have so many compartments that sometimes I forget where everything is, but after a while of keeping things in the same places, its getting easier. Its got extra room too so I can put almost all my ski gear in it in our ski lease to keep it all out of the way. We bought one for my daughter who is a tall 8 year old and its pretty big for her, but she loves it too. Its great that it has that handle on the back so I can help her carry it from behind especially at the end of a long tiring ski day!

Very durable without being too heavy. Does the job and then some. Word of advice, order a unique color even if not your favorite. I saw this bag three times on my recent trip and accidentally picked up the wrong black bag not knowing it was not mine. Luckily the other person checked and realized they had mine.

I just received this bag today and, unfortunately, the zipper isnt actually stitched into the bag all the way around on the main compartment. I was hoping to use it this weekend, but instead I will wait for a replacement from Amazon. I got two of this bag (different colors) and the other is fine. This bag holds a TON of stuff, its easy to fit in a pair of womans boots and two helmets. I guess time will tell if it holds up or if this I come to regret buying--and bothering to go through the process of exchanging--this bag. Update: the replacement bag arrived with the zipper completely unstitched in the same part of the bag (and barely attached all the way around the main compartment) so Amazon must have a bad batch of this White out color. The Batik color I also purchased is stitched well in the zippers. That bag is currently holding womens boots and helmet and an additional 2 youth helmets with ease--it has great capacity and is comfortable to carry. Update 2: the replacement for the replacement arrived. The zipper is just barely stitched the whole way around the bag. I tugged on the zipper to try to get an idea of whether it is going to fail catastrophically right away, and it seems mostly okay, so Im going to keep it. The Batik color bag I also purchased from Amazon has held up through several ski trips and the White out bag has done OK so far over 7-8 ski trips. I use one to carry womens boots, helmet/goggles, snowpants, sweatshirt, hats, mittens and the other to carry 2 youth boots, 2 youth helmet/goggles, and snowpants, hats, mittens for the pair. They are really handy for lugging all the pieces around, especially with kids.

I recommend this bag for all derby skaters! Its like Mary Poppins purse! Theres SO much room. I keep one skate in each side pocket (which also has venting holes!) and can fit 2 knee, 2 elbow, 2 wrist guards, my helmet, spare shorts and a tank, and still have room to spare!! I love all the pockets and the handles are VERY solid! The back is padded and the straps are well padded too! Its also collapses very small so its great to put in a suitcase if youll need to use it when you get to where youre going. Ive had mine for the last couple years of skating and couldnt recommend it more. For the price, its an incredible deal.
