I have been working on cars for 50 or so years now. One of the very first diagnostic aids I bought when I was younger was a test light. Very simple deal: Hook it to voltage and when you touched the tip to ground it would light up, likewise, when hooked to ground and touching a live circuit it would also light up. This one from ATOBLIN performs exactly like the old test light except the indicator is digital and it does much more. The LED voltmeter comes in real handy when youre probing for a 5 volt signal vs a 12 volt signal. Also, when youre circuit is supposed to be 12 volts and its only 3 the tester will let you know. A small red or green LED tells you if what youre probing is positive voltage or ground. You wont need a multimeter to read the voltage since the test light will read it for you. Ive found it to be very accurate. Its a multifunction tool in a small package that works very well. Comes with a rubber tip guard attached to the cord making it almost impossible to lose. A good idea since I usually lose the probe cover in the first few minutes of ownership. The old incandescent test light still has its place but this digital tester has become my new first line of interrogation on automotive electrical circuits.

Whats better than a basic test light? This one. It features a digital readout and polarity indicators. Its like a test light and a basic multi meter in one. I also like the probe cap that is attached to the coiled cord. The only negative I can say is that the blue digital display can be tough to see in bright lighting but other than that it works great. The clear housing feels very durable and the probe is very sharp. I give this 5 stars for quality and value.

It helped me to figure out that my fuses were good without pulling each one.

Works great and decently made. Hasnt fallen apart like my other one I bought from a local auto store and a lot better price, has better features as well. Love it.

Needed to determine where a ground was located under my dash near the fuse box for a dash cam. This product allowed me to easily locate a car ground that I could use.

I bought an old car and realized it had a ton of blown fuses, I didn’t want to change any that didn’t need it so use this tool. I clipped the grounding clip to the metal car frame and simply tapped each fuse and found 15 that were blown in no time. One great feature is it shows how much current the fuse holds, showing if it needs changing even if still working (would read a lower number than what the fuse was). Turned a 40-fuse job into a 10-minute tap and change job, easy peasy!

Finally a tester that has a volt meter built in that is not bulky . The quality is really nice. the coiled cable is firm but not too tight. the cap for the pointed probe is a nice storage idea and the meter is accurate. This is now my go to electric tester for all automotive and power equipment testing. I only wish the voltage range went down to be able to test 1.5 volt alkaline batteries.
