I built batteries. This is crazy good for that. Troubleshooting for any DC electrical system - excellent. It feels like a pro tool. I love it. Dont forget that you can clamp the thing to a probe and have it like a regular volt meter.

This is a very good product for any auto mechanic or at home DIYer auto or electrician. When connected to a ground source, it indicates when you probe a positive power source and gives you the voltage read out or when connected to a positive source, you have the opportunity to probe negative ground wires and has led lights that light up accordingly. Finally a tester that has a volt meter built in that is not bulky . The quality is really nice. the coiled cable is firm but not too tight. the cap for the pointed probe is a nice storage idea and the meter is accurate. This is now my go to electric tester for all automotive and power equipment testing. I only wish the voltage range went down to be able to test 1.5 volt alkaline batteries.
