> 3 dayThis is my first pair of high-end, audiophile headphones. I have tried driving them with the iFi hip dac, and they sound excellent. The bass boost function on the amp sounds absolutely incredible on these headphones, yes it is bass heavy sound but if you are into that, these headphones can handle it and sound unbelievable. No distortion, deep and fast bass while keeping the mids and highs perfectly clear.

> 3 dayI purchased these as an open box. Running through my system with an RME DAC (add bass shelf an tame one peak) with either a tube amp or my solid state, these rival much more expensive headphones. I alternate back and forth between these and my ZMF Verites, which are more than double the price. The ZMF have better stage, more bass impact, and slightly more resolution (SLIGHTLY). Overall technical qualities are maybe 10% better on the verite.

> 3 daythese new 2021 with Audezes eq on roon are amazing the best headphones ive ever heard and even better for electronic music. yes theres better but this is best price point to buy headphones at anything more and youre going to need expansive amps and dacs to make a difference. even though these have low impedance i still recommend a good amp for these. something like the Schiit audio asgard 3 is amazing for these.

Greater than one weekAfter reading a lot of good things about this new updated model I decided to give them a try to see if they could displace my Focal Clear Mgs as my go-to headphones. Bottom line - no, they cannot, but that doesnt mean that they arent still really good and its feasible that someone else could prefer them. Its also worth noting that these are about $300 less than the Focals.

> 3 dayJust excellent build quality. They sound more spacious but other than that they dont sound any better than my $150 ATH-M50x to my ears. The low end really opens up with break in so thats not the problem i originally thought it would be out of the box. i really, really, really wanted to keep these, they are so beautiful, but i just cant justify it by the sound. Maybe i need to step up in price range to get what im looking for....

> 3 dayI generally prefer a neutral tuned headphone, hence my daily driven Audio Techicna R70Xs (maybe slightly warm). Keep in mind the LCD-X headphones are listed under Audeze’s “reference” class.

07-04-2025Fantastic detail and sound stage. Impressive dynamics and frequency range. Comfortable and not as heavy as its perceived by many people. Can easily have it for a couple hours fine. Im pairing it with a Topping E50 and L50 stack, they are perfect for these cans. Is it worth the price? Probably not for casual listeners, if you want some of the best professional level detail retrieval, these are definitely the right choice.
