14-06-2025Well built but muddy sounding, with little high-frequency detail. Very heavy and uncomfortable.

> 3 dayIve started to notice after several hours of listening time that my right ear is now touching the right fazor (plastic grill) on the headphone and causes great discomfort. Ive looked online and this is a known issue with audezes LCD line. Its surprising that people have had issues with the exact same thing and yet dont fix their pads. Ive contacted support and was told that there was nothing they can do. I dont have giant ears and they are quite normal. When I glance at the pads the right padding seems thinner than the left pad. Also not to mention that the pelican case that comes with the headphone is missing a rubber foot so when its placed on a flat surface it wobbles.

> 3 dayHigh points for clarity, comfort, sound stage, instrument separation and precision tuning and stereo balance on the lower end as well as in the mids and uppers. There is no low points, except maybe the high price... But, in this case, it is obviously justified.

> 3 dayBest headphones I own, absolutely hifi, bring out the best in music. Heavy, yes, but dont let naysayers turn you off completely.

> 3 daythese new 2021 with Audezes eq on roon are amazing the best headphones ive ever heard and even better for electronic music. yes theres better but this is best price point to buy headphones at anything more and youre going to need expansive amps and dacs to make a difference. even though these have low impedance i still recommend a good amp for these. something like the Schiit audio asgard 3 is amazing for these.

> 3 dayLcd x headphones were everything I expected. The only reason for the 4 star rating is their price.

> 3 dayThis thing is built like a tank, you could use it for self-defense its so strong. Its heavy enough to feel the weight when I turn my head but honestly, I love it. Ive gotten used to it. The weight kinda reminds me to lay back and listen. Its pretty comfortable with the leather strap and squishy earpads despite the weight. It looks like its built to last a century. Its like one of those they dont make em like they used to kinda products from the 1950s. 5/5 durability

> 3 dayI generally prefer a neutral tuned headphone, hence my daily driven Audio Techicna R70Xs (maybe slightly warm). Keep in mind the LCD-X headphones are listed under Audeze’s “reference” class.

> 3 dayHad a hard time deciding between lcd x, Arya and focal clear. Super happy with these, amazing sound quality. They’re def heavy, so I need to take a break after 4 hours or so. I’m sure I’ll get used to them more as time passes as it’s only a minor discomfort after the 4th hour. Bass hits perfect and the detail in every instrument is surreal.
