Aurifil Mako Cotton 50wt Thread Solid Grey 1422 Yard

Im a quilter so I typically sew light weight fabric. I have used Gutermann and Metler thread. This thread is by far my absolute favorite. Its got a beautiful sheen to it, runs through the machine smoothly and MOST IMPORTANTLY doesnt produce much lint that will clog up your machine. It is absolutely worth the price.

I bought this thread because Bernina recommends high quality thread for my sewing machine. The thread did not work well and caught up in the tension and wrapped around the needle. I am very happy with the company response and customer service. I returned the thread because I bought two colors and I had the same problem with both spools. Thats why Im giving four stars. Im sad the Aurifil didnt work out for me.

Great produce

When I began quilting, after a 20 year hiatus, I kept hearing about this thread. I thought I would try it out. I did and it is wonderful. Great for piecing and machine quilting your quilt tops. This thread is versatile and durable. It comes in a wide variety of colors. The 1422 yard spool goes a long way.

Awesome thread, and really, considering what you get on a spool at the big box store not really that much more expensive. Very pleased to be using this for quilting now.
