Aveda Men Pure-Formance Grooming Clay 75ml/2.5oz

I’ve tried many hair products over the years. This one is great for all types of hair and all lengths of hair. It is a great all in one product with a good texture and doesn’t dry out easily or become sticky. It’s useful year round.

I use Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo on a daily basis, and was excited to try this Grooming Clay. After about 4 months of usage, I have mixed feelings. I can pretty much only use it when my hair is short and I dont need a lot of hold. Ive found the clay does not do a great job of holding, and is pretty much gone from my hair later in the day. If I add too much, the product seems too greasy and weighs down my hair. The clay does not seem effective when I have longer hair (I use a water based solution when my hair is longer). I wouldnt buy this product if I had longer hair all the time. The product is very expensive, but thats the norm for Aveda. On the bright side, the smell is terrific. Definitely the best-smelling hair product Ive ever used. Others who have borrowed it say the same thing. It has a very unique, adult smell.

Very fast delivery, great product for the price

Ive used this stuff for about 10 years now. One container will last months if youre smart about how much you use. It tames the stubbornest cowlicks, holds throughout the day, and doesnt give your hair a stupid shine like some of the gels out there. It also smells beautiful—Aveda sources quality ingredients and leaves out harsh chemicals. But recently the price of this product has jumped dramatically. For years it held steady at about $25, maybe even a little bit cheaper on occasion. But recently Ive seen it sell anywhere from $32-$45 for a container. I dont know what thats about, but its definitely turning me off. As loyal as I am to this grooming clay, if its going to be that expensive then Ill take my money elsewhere and enough to spare for a meal or two.

Great product. Normally buy at my barbers shop, but this was convenient and at a good price, since I wasn’t going back soon for a haircut.
