I wrote a good review, but upon further using this tool, i found out why it didnt work properly, its not for a # 40 chain like i ordered, this one was for a #25, #60. Too late to do anything about it, but the tool itself is a good product.

Works fine just watch the drive pin as it can fall out of the device and you may lose it

I bought this for my minibike which is a #420 chain. Even know this says it will work with that size, it does but barely. The chain does not fit in the jaws and it wont push the link all the way out so you have to use plyers to finish pulling the pin out. It should be okay with a smaller size chain but I dont have one too test it with.

If you are looking to remove chain and the chain is welded, this is a good part on non-welded components like chains when trying to break them...

I needed it to shorten a chain for a go kart project. It was a little tricky to use at first but once I got it figured out it worked quite well.

It DOES WORK though! Its more bicycle chains cause the pin on the breaker will probably go through that hole or larger! Just doesnt fit smaller chains like pocket bikes! If you have a pocket bike you can use it, just go half way on the pin youre popping out, or itll bend your link but like I said, this is pretty much for bicycle chains or larger! Works great though!

Used to break a go kart chain. Worked perfectly and was properly aligned when secured to the chain. The die tip was no longer as sharp after using it, but that was as expected and the kit includes an extra die. Not sure I would use this tool in a professional capacity but perfect for a hobbyist.
