There’s nothing like a good floor cleaner to show you all the dirt that was hiding. Highly recommend!

I breed dogs and have hardwood floors this machine is a life saver! Just wish the light could be shut off without unplugging the machine.

I have the crosswave cordless max, but my husband just purchased this crosswave hydrosteam for me (at my request) for my birthday. The hydrosteam actually CLEANS to my standards! I used my old crosswave to clean the floors in our downstairs family room area. Our dogs also go in and out there, so needless to say, its high traffic! After using the cordless max on the floors, I thought they were clean. However, it wasnt until I went over the floors again (immediately after the cordless max) with the hydrosteam that I realized my floors were not as clean as I thought they were. The amount of dirt that the hydrosteam feature was able to get off the floor was incredible! The only downside is that the machine is a little heavy for stair use. Its a great workout though! Maybe on the upgraded model they can have a detachable stair feature as well! All in all, I love this machine and use it every day!

We already had the Bissell pet pro crosswave, which is a solid machine. We run it a few times a week on our LVP flooring, and it leaves the floor noticeably cleaner. I did notice that on some sticky spots, I’d have to let the brush sit on it and work at it for 20-30 seconds to get it up. So, I figured I’d upgrade to this and use the steam function, and it definitely works. Just a simple pass or two over something sticky and the floor is good as new. I also really like the self cleaning setting way more than the manual water dumping in the pet pro version. All in, I’d say this is worth the spend if you have pets and kids.

At least I hope thats what it was. Right out of the box mine did not produce any steam at all.. it didnt even get warm. Without the steam its still clean my floor pretty well, but I am returning it.

If your floor is dirty because the idea of breaking out the mop is a back breaking job then your not alone. I know myself I personally slack cleaning floors just because it can be a back breaker. I knew I needed a powered wet mop for a long time, and so enters the BISSELL. Out of the box it was a snap to get it going, of course I saw a few YouTube’s and read the instruction from cover to cover cause I’m a instructions nerd. I was ready to test this flag ship. It claims to clean, add steam for that hard to clean spots that you have to mop over like 1000 times until it is clean. So I assembled, read (as noted), and had the whole house at my disposal. I tested on hardwood, ceramic, porcelain, and laminate. I filled the water canister with required water and chemicals (included), and off I went. To be fair the pictures I included was one of 2 times I emptied the waste water. On all the wood I used the floor mode, using 50% trigger squeeze (drops water/chemicals to roller), and it cleanup up nice. I did not need to keep the trigger down all the time as that would release too much water. I did see a few tough spots, so I changed the mode to STEAM, and did a few passes on that mode and it did come clean. On the porcelain, and laminate, I kept the steamer mode on just to see the results. All in all it picked up all the dirt, cleaned the surface, and dried fast and did not leave film. So far all went well, I used the self clean mode, took apart the pieces, cleaned them out and left out to dry. So what is the bad? The water/chemical did go fairly quick and me only using 50% trigger pulls. Dont get me wrong, it went fine, I could see how I will need to buy the cleaning chemicals more often, and that is fine. When its time to clean, just do it right. Next issue is grout. No you do not need to worry about your grout because it will not touch it. Meaning it is a SURFACE cleaner, not a deep cleaner. My grout had dirt pieces in there after I was done because the roller does not get to it. So my suggestion is, vacuum before you wet mop to clean out the grout, and add to your calendar another day to get on your knees to clean that out. Would I recommend, oh yes, having this I will clean the floors more often, as it did a good job.

To be as brief as possible this is a cool machine in theory but it does not save any time nor does it do a comparable job to a steam mop if that’s what you’re looking for. I cleaned our large kitchen and two bathrooms today. I had the robot vacuum clean the kitchen and one of the bathrooms this morning understanding that in theory I did not need to, but expecting it probably wouldn’t hurt to make a first pass in those areas as we have a couple of dogs. It did a nice job grabbing the debris the robot had missed. And the mopping seemed okay too. I used the enclosed cleaner solution for the hard surface sanitize the first run but just used plain water after that as I didn’t love the residual cloudiness on the floor - and I ended up going back over everything with just plain water that I had already covered with the cleaning solution for this reason. Which honestly wasn’t a big deal because the dirty water tank fills up so quickly! Annoyingly quick. It is no where close to accommodating the large fill from the clean water tank. I didn’t count but I had to stop and empty the tank/refill at least 6 or 7 times between the three rooms. The steam it emits is not significant, but it does do a good job of sucking the water back up. The floor dried quickly. But it is LOUD So loud. In our main bathroom, where I did not run the vacuum prior, it did an excellent job grabbing all of the hair that I inexplicably lose every day while somehow still not going bald. And then when you’re all done, you have to do the self clean cycle (which is honestly pretty impressive and did actually clean the beater bar nearly completely in one cycle). And then clean out the dirty tank, the filter and dissemble the brush roll to try and wipe out the self cleaning tray if you do it to fidelity. Then I guess sometime tomorrow when everything is dry I’ll put it back together… I can’t see using this with any regularity. The tank is so small and the process to use it because of this plus the clean out process…. I could have used my upright vacuum + shark steam mop with a lot of steam (refilling the tank maybe 2x) in probably half the time. And then just thrown the mop pad in the wash and moved on with my day.

I love the Self Cleaning on this machine!! My previous Crosswave was amazing and worked so well on my hard floors - I saw this updated model and decided to give my original to my daughters and take the new one and I’M SO GLAD I DID! This model has steam cleaning mode as well as a clean cycle which cleans the roller brush (which we all know is the most disgusting part). Mine came with two small bottles of cleaner/sanitizer and a small bottle of clean cycle solution. For cleaning, you empty and clean out the dirty water tank then reattach. Fill the clean water reservoir with hot water to the mark, the pour a small amount of the cleaning solution into the storage tray. Set the machine in place and press the clean cycle button. The initial sound worried me, but then it kicks in and cleans the brush. Once finished you open the top, remove the brush, and set it into its slot to dry. I’m a little concerned what that cleaning will cost over time when I have to purchase the cleaner, but not touching the nasty brush is a plus. Everything else works mostly like my last machine. It vacuums up most dirt (with a struggle on anything larger like many machines these days), but mopping at the same time is so convenient when you’re busy!! The light is bright and helpful, though the light stays on when the machine is plugged in-not just when it’s on. That’s a little annoying for me, but certainly not an issue. Huge fan of this machine!!

THis product is an amazing addition for my pet household! It is the perfect addition to my other Bissell products (Little Green & CleanView vacuum) as it is a product that can also scrub, mop and steam hardwood floors with hardly any effort. The different modes make cleaning all sorts of messes super easily. I was shocked at how easy to use it was--essentially you can remove from the packaging and immediately start using the Crosswave HydroSteam with very minimal direction, and I am happy i did not have to spend a lot of time with assembly. Since I recieved it, my floors are always clean and smell amazing--I even got compliments from a guest on how fresh my apartment smelled! A great purchase!

I have two young boys, and they seem to leave more food on the floor around the kitchen table than they actually make into their mouths! Sweeping up gets all the big pieces, but I am always left having to get out the mop to clean the dried ketchup, chocolate milk, juice, yogurt, and other messes they leave. I hate mopping, so this means messes usually end up accumulating over time because who has time to sweep and mop every day after dinner? I did one round with this bad boy, and I was slightly disturbed by what came out when I emptied the dirty water tank. The floors actually looked relatively clean beforehand, but there was a ton of unseen dust and grime that got picked up. It is super easy to put together and use, took me less than 5 minutes from opening the box to starting my first clean, and it was surprisingly quiet. Worth every penny to finally be able to throw the mop out!
