> 3 dayOur elderly kitty was diagnosed with a heath condition that initially especially was causing him to toss his cookies-- a lot. I did what I could and pretreated the areas that had been hit, then went online and started researching spot cleaners. I was torn between this and the Bissell SpotCleaner Pro (model 3624). Other than color, they seem to be identical expect for the attachments-- same amps, tank capacity, etc. I decided to go with this model because it has the stain trapper tool (and I dont need the 3624s stairs attachment), and because the other was out of stock and we needed something asap. I thought the stain trapper might be a gimmick but decided to give it a try with the hope that it would offset the additional expense. Im really happy with the machine. I pretreat the spots to be cleaned and start with the stain trapper, which keeps the worst of what I cant pick up with a paper towel from getting into the hose etc. Then I switch to the regular attachment, which has a smaller opening and better suction. I usually make multiple passes and go slow as it says in the instructions. So far everything has come out completely, including chocolate stain on synthetic weave couch, cat vomit on wool and synthetic rugs, and food on microfiber thats water safe. The tanks are easy to fill and empty once you get used to putting the dirty tank handle over the top of the tank-- the first time I was afraid of breaking it, but now I like the design. The hose and cord are easy to unroll and the whole thing is compact and relatively lightweight. The suction is very good, and using hot tap water keeps the spray from the attachment warm, which helps. I gave it four stars for ease of use because I have to use a decent amount of pressure to get the water sucked up completely from the wool rug. But for a machine this size that seems reasonable. Its gotten heavy use since I got it and still smells clean-- I run a couple bowls of hot water through after each use and leave everything open to dry. I dont store the solution in the tank-- I use less to start with and empty after use.

> 3 dayBut this machine! Best I’ve ever owned! I Originally got it because I have a little dog who urinated on the side of my couch. With Bissells pet carpet clean took the spell right out and pulled all the water out to where it was practically dry when I was done cleaning it. Tonight I spilled cold coffee all over my white Turkish rug. Got up ran to my machine Sucked the coffee out first with the large tool end piece that filters excess that you do not want going through your machine so it would not get pressed into the carpet by rubbing it in. I then put the small attachment head on and sprayed really well and scrubbed, sprayed and suctioned carpet.reattached the large and piece to pull the remaining excess water out of the carpet. I really thought the coffee was going to stain my brand new Turkish rug. To my surprise it turned out beautifully and just like brand new again. This machine is a must have! ZERO evidence that I spilled a whole cup of coffee all over it. I did not take a picture of the container before I dumped the coffee that it had picked up. But I decided to go ahead and clean the rest of the carpet because I live in the desert and we have a lot of dust . And my carpet looked brand new before I did this aside from the coffee spill in the middle . And in the picture above that’s how much dirt came out of the remaining carpet that did not have coffee on it ! I had no idea that the dust has settled and it was that dirty because my carpet looked brand new and white before the coffee had ever smelled ! From pet cleaning to spills I highly recommend this machine! If you were looking for a hand held this is a MUST buy. Zero leakage, while changing attachment heads it did not make a mess. I’m thrilled, This machine is definitely worth some money.

> 3 dayI am disappointed in the moisture extraction. The unit lacks a strong enough moisture withdrawal and clogs up easily on the head. Because of a difficult head removal it is difficult to clean. Ended up purchasing a commercial unit that heats the water. Would i recommend it? Only if you are looking for a quick small job unit. The delivery fas fast and the product seems to be of a decent quality for a smaller unit

> 3 dayThis is a very good carpet-upholstery cleaner and works as a decent wet vac. I wish they included one different oxy cleaner. I got two pet stain cleaner bottles. The clean water tank has a design flaw like all other cleaners. That is the opening is a small round cap that is only an inch wide and it takes forever to dry out the tank once you finish. Bissell is one of the few manufactures that make a wide variety of replacement parts (hoses, tanks, brushes) The machine is definitely on the loud side but it has good suction and really gets almost all the liquid up. It is not the cheapest machine but I would say it is worth the money.

> 3 daySo we have a “Big and tough” guard dog that gets scared at noses and new people so he pees as he’s running to safety. He just recently started this behavior so I was using a stain remover with a bucket of water and a scrub brush, but as these “accidents” have been becoming more frequent, I decided to look this route. My device was delivered today and I IMMEDIATELY put it to use! I did not even pre-treat the stains as suggested, nor did I scrub them with the brush attachment as stated in the directions. I simply added the included stain remover solution to the water and just went with it. I did spray the stairs/areas with the sprayer on the hose and let it sit for a min or two. Then I scrubbed back and forth with the brush attachment as it was sucking. The results were GREAT! I forgot to take pictures of the two stairs that had the most stains before I tried it out :( At first I was having a hard time because I couldn’t get the house to spray the water solution but then I really the trouble shooting section of the included directions that said you have to prime the house before use by placing the house lower than the tank to get the water flowing soi placed the tank a couple of stairs higher from where I was working, pulled the trigger a few times and then I was in business! I initially was only going to try it on a few stairs that were the worst but it was working so well and was so easy to use that I ended up doing all 26 stairs, the landing and two areas in the hallway. Literally worked like a dream! I strongly encourage you to give it a shot!!

Greater than one weekIt works well but leaks a little bit. It’s also a very small brush so larger surfaces take longer. Overall, would recommend to clean up small spots

> 3 dayIn defense of the machine, I am a Rainbow Vac user which uses water and is quite powerful at a premium price. Second, I am a Rigid Shop Vac user in my business, so I expect powerful suction when dealing with water. Therefore, The Bissell Pet Pro, faced tough competition at my house. I bought it for convenience and size without checking for a power rating...which I did not find in the description. I like the size. It is Easy to store, quick to the mess. The hand held Stain Trapper is nice keeping the mess out of the big tank, but a few days after using the machine, I discovered some dirty water still goes into the main tank and because I did not clean it immediately, it really smelled when I discovered it. The sprayer was nice to help dilute the urine accident, but at times, it sprayed too wide on to the unspoiled area. If caught early, on my carpet, you can keep the accident area small. However, The big problem and the reason it is being returned is the lack of suction. My Shaw Pet Proof carpet does not allow water or dirt to go though the backing to the carpet pad or floor. Therefore, any moisture stays on the surface to be picked up by a vacuum or carpet cleaner. This shows just how much water is left in the carpet rather than having it hide in the pad. Even the water from an ice cube will remain where it is until it is cleaned up or evaporates. After using the Bissell, the carpet remained very wet and I had to dry the carpet further with a towel. If this is the case, I may as well use my old method of applying water with a spray bottle, use my Rainbow to pick up as much water as I can and dry the cleaned area with a towel....all without the extra expense, just extra manipulation of equipment. UPDATE 12/14/220 I decided to give the machine a second chance (moving from three stars to four) and found by using the regular brush rather than the Stain Trapper, the suction was much better. Because of the good points above: size and convenience I will keep experimenting. I may have to get a short grounded extension cord, however, as I live in an older house and not all of my outlets have been changed to grounded plug-ins.
