> 3 dayGreat for skiing. I love hinged or convertible balaclavas, because I tend to run hot. So it is nice to be able to pull it down below my mouth, just over ot or all the way to cover my nose. Comfortable material, washes well. Great price, soI purchased more for my kids and for spares.

> 3 dayI used this in Alberta while hunting whitetails in the Edmonton Bow Zone for 9 days at the end of November. I expected this to be a little more wind-resistant than what it is. On the days below 10° Fahrenheit I had to put my Kuiu merino wool neck gaiter (see picture) on the outside of my blackstrap balaclava and this combination worked pretty well. I suppose if I wasn’t stationary the whole time and was able to generate some body heat from moving around that this balaclava would be great. Overall I’m content with it though because it did a pretty decent job for what I bought it for and it wasn’t expensive so I would recommend it.

> 3 dayFits great under a helmet and still warm for as thin as it feels. Great colors options and color stays true after many washings.

> 3 dayI guess this product would cut the wind pretty well and I like the pattern, but its pretty tight on the front of the nose. It got uncomfortable within about five minutes.

18-11-2024I have purchased 4 of these because of how good they are! They are comfortable and warm. I use it while snowboarding and when Im out hiking and the like. I do have some issues sometimes with fogging up lenses if I put it over my nose, but its usually not too bad. I think thats usually when its going inside of my goggles when they arent seated right as opposed to fogging the outside

> 3 dayEDIT: Year two of using these and I’m still in love with them. I have 3 different ones now. They’ve held up so well to many ski trips and they keep my sensitive ears warm and protected. I just wash them on cold and hang dry them to ensure they stay in good shape. First time using a blackstrap balaclava and I absolutely love it. The material feels so high quality and nice. It fits really nicely on my head (I wear a size large ski helmet.) I love how easily you can pull the mouth piece up and down, it’s great for Covid too as the mouth part has a double layer. The mouth part has a meshy type layer on the inside which really helps keep it from sticking to your face when it gets all moist from your breath. It kept the cold wind off my face really nicely. Great for day and evening skiing. If I was gonna go night skiing on a really cold night I might get the thicker version of this for extra warmth. This regular thickness one still kept me warm too tho. I’m definitely going to eventually buy a couple of these in different colors. Really worth the price and I love all the awesome colors and patterns.

> 3 dayFor skiing this year we are required to wear masks around the load and unload areas. This comes up high enough over my nose with little effort, even with mittens on. It also pulls down super easy when needed. I have other older model BS balaclavas and this version has some extra fabric around the nose and mouth to allow it to have some extra protection and keep ice crystals from forming when breathing, at least in 20 degree temps. I would highly recommend.
