Great product for cold days on the slopes.

Im a woman who purchased this to cover my face during this years brutal winter. Commuting and walking in downtown DC was not fun in the frigid temperatures and I hated having to constantly wipe my drippy nose. This balaclava hood was the perfect solution. The poka dot color was feminine and unassuming enough so that folks would not be frightened that I was about to hold them up :) Happy with my purchase!

I haven’t been wearing this in extreme temperatures so I cannot speak to that, only in the single and double digits during snowboarding, but it’s been plenty warm under those conditions. My only complaint is that it tends to bunch up around your mouth, but you can adjust it when that happens. It’s become my new favorite face mask, plus in the age of covid, it serves as an acceptable face mask covering. I would recommend!

Best , most flexible and breathable face mask out there. Might not be the warmest, but keeping the cold wind off you is half the battle. Very satisfied.

The BS Balaclava is well made and functional (eg, easy to slip on/off face). The material is warm enough but breathable. I use it for skiing. The material is relatively thin so it can comfortable fit under the helmet and the design works well with the chin strap. It has held up well too.

Superb hood from blackstrap. All my family members have one ( in addition to a thicker option as well) This is not an insulating hood, is meant as a lightly warming / spring protection on its own but is a perfect mid to cold temp under-helmet hood/mask. Takes a good bite out of chilly winds for sure. Hinge function makes it easy to adjust cover to over mouth, over nose, on chin only or neck only. Have several and all have held up perfect in seams and colors. Very recommendable - boarding and skiing!

The only reason I’m giving this 4 instead of 5 is because it’s obviously sized for a man. I don’t remember seeing that on the description. But it definitely helps keep me warm. I’m a flight medic and it keeps my ears and neck warm but the face pieces don’t stay in place as well as I imagine they would on a man.
