> 3 dayWe have two people in our family who have sustained brain damage over the course of a long life. Both, including myself, have difficulty with the protruding spikes on traditional umbrellas. At some point, we both end up getting stuck by them, often in the face, which is a real danger when our glasses start to slip down on our noses and arent there to protect our eyes as effectively. This umbrella has an incredibly high price tag, and I cant say that I approve of that. It should be, based on construction and materials, around fifty dollars, not seventy. However, the design covers the end points of the spokes in the interior frame that holds the umbrellas shade in place, over your head to protect you from rain. The covering of those end points and the use of rounded edges results in safety that no one else is providing in their umbrella designs. So far, Ive hit myself twice using this umbrella and it hurt less. I wish they charged a more reasonable price, rather than what the market will tolerate, given that many of us buying these are buying them either for people with a disability like myself or people with something like autism, which is why a friend of mine bought one of these for a family member. It does feel like gouging the disabled, and I dont approve. But, again, the product is excellent. It is a very safe umbrella and is much more appropriate for people who have difficulty controlling muscle movements or who have issues with depth perception in their visions or just people like me who end up poking themselves in the face because they cant quite see that edge where the spoke of the frame is sticking out as a little spike that can get me in the face. I highly recommend this, but I hope other companies will step up to produce similar products. To be clear, the frame is mid-level, as to what Ive seen, in terms of thickness of the metal and quality of the little hinges. The fabric is also right at mid-level, not thick enough to prevent wear over time but not as thin as the cheapest umbrellas out there. The handle is not ergonomic or terrible easy to hold for me. The button doesnt open the umbrella all the way, which I have to manually open the rest of the way. Because of all of these issues, I believe it is worth around forty dollars, however, one that had a functioning opening button would be worth around fifty. I hope this helps to clarify some issues. Basically, with this umbrella, we are paying a premium for safety, not the highest quality. In every respect, other than safety, this is a mid-level entry in the umbrella world, assuming everything works, which it didnt on the one we tested.

Greater than one weekThe BLUNT Metro Travel Umbrella is definitely the one you want if you’re job-interviewing in the rain and want to impress. It’s gorgeous and feels very sturdy. It’s just the right size to keep you dry without bumping into everything in your path. The storage bag has a gusseted zipper, so that it opens wide enough that you don’t have to struggle to get the umbrella in. This umbrella comes in a nice cardboard box that’s also designed to impress.

> 3 dayI have had smaller umbrellas that pack down way smaller, but this one is way higher quality. I think the extra space is worth it to have a quality and reliable umbrella that I can trust.

> 3 dayI love, love, love, my blunt umbrellas. This is my smallest one and is perfect for travel. I stuff it in my carry on for my travels and it doesnt take up too much space. I wouldnt use this for extended walks in the rain as it leaves your legs exposed, especially if its coming down sideways. For shorter jaunts, though, its perfect. The material is super high quality and durable, and it has withstood serious beatings both from wind, rain, and debris. I would argue that the umbrella is not quite windproof as a 30-40mph gusts caused it to bend and invert, but otherwise its super solidly built, and is definitely my best portable umbrella. I wish it could collapse even smaller to fit in briefcases, etc, but then it would compromise some of the awesome structural integrity that it has.

> 3 dayI like to keep an umbrella in my car for just in case. This packs up nice and small (even if it is a bit of a chore to get it back in its cover / case. Opens smooth and easy, and closes just the same. I like the mechanism in the canopy, it looks very strong, though I havent yet had a chance to test it on a windy day. The non-traditional umbrella shape is a real eye-catcher, too. Nobody looks at a regular umbrella. But the shape of this really stands out. Perfect for travel or to keep in the car, I dont think it gets much better in terms of umbrellas.

Greater than one weekAfter seeing an ad online for Blunt umbrellas I decided to purchase one. It is an investment buy. I have never spent sixty pounds on an umbrella, because I tend to lose them.. But with this bright red umbrella I think not. Its also unisex.

> 3 dayThis is the best umbrella out their. I got info on this product from gear patrol. I was in a 40mph rain storm, no problems at all. The umbrella moved all over from me not controlling it. It never folded. If it was 90mph, I would have floated like Mary Poppins. Ill get 2 more.

> 3 dayThis is seriously the best umbrella I have ever owned! It’s so strong, sturdy, and folds up easily. It’s clearly amazing quality and works so well in the rain! It’s not incredibly large though so it’s definitely a single person umbrella. Highly recommend this umbrella. It’s amazing
