Greater than one weekI always forget to change the A/C filter because we usually buy one at a time. Getting them in this larger pack is wonderful. Its almost 2 years of filters and we never have a problem going too long between changes. Love.the fast dripping and ease of ordering. 2 thumbs up!!

> 3 dayThese look to be very well made and their construction compares well to the Nordic Pure filters that I have been using. Both brands are made in the US and are priced similarly. The filters are sturdy, properly sized and offer good pleat reinforcement. These BNX filters claim to be electrostatically charged, which should help to attract and retain allergens as they pass through and would be an improvement over the Nordic Pure. I dont have a particulate meter to measure changes like that, but we do have a family member in the house who is sensitive to dander and other allergens and over the next few weeks well see if these help to improve air quality. Not very scientific, but even if no change is noticed, at the current listed price (~$28-30) they are a good alternative to what we have been using.

> 3 dayA/C filters vary widely between the WAY they are made, how MUCH they filter out, and their size and shape. Once you know what size and shape you need (in my case, 16-inch-by 20-inch by 1-inch thick), you then have to decide the MERV rating you want (how much they filter out - or, inversely, how much they leave IN the air that goes through your A/C unit). The higher the MERV number, the more it will filter out, the less it leaves IN the air. Your A/C fan motor will thank you for using higher MERV-rated filters, as will your lungs. Theres one catch, though -- if the MERV rating is TOO HIGH, the fan motor MAY have to work harder to pull the air through it, so unless your fan is RATED for MERV 13 or higher, dont get anything higher than a MERV 12 (By the way, the highest rating is MERV 19 - and thats a highly-priced specialty filter). Most people who have extremely bad allergies or immune systems that are compromised will want an 11 or 12, or 13 or 14 if their furnace fan can take it. An average system is great with a 7 or 8 MERV. During the summer, I use a 7 or 8; during MY allergy season, I use an 11 or 12 -- I change my filter at least 2 times per year. Having said all that (and that information - filter size and MERV rating - is ALWAYS on the web listings), that brings us to the third way that filters vary -- which is HOW they are MADE. How sturdy are they? How much support do they offer for getting them in and out of the housing of your A/C cold air return system without damaging them? Are they flimsy? When your furnace kicks on (or your A/C), and the air flow starts pulling through the filter, will the fan suck it over to the edge and cause it to collapse? These are all questions that are NEVER answered on web pages, so Ill tell you what I got with these filters from BNX. There are support wires attached with tiny glue dots to strategic spots on the filter material. This is good. It means that the wires will resist the fans pull, and keep the filter centered in the plenum (between the intake housing and the exhaust chamber). There is ALSO cross-hatches of cardboard giving the filter some physical stability, but the cardboard is widely spread, which, again, is a good thing. Ive gotten filters before whose cardboard crosshatching was SO proliferate that the air flow was reduced (because air does not filter through cardboard). I have also bought filters that had NO cardboard, and the filter just about fell out of the frame when I tried to insert the frame into the air intake chamber. These BNX filters seem to have the best of both worlds - some cardboard, but not too much. These are also rated as electrostatically charged, but to be honest, I have no way to verify or disprove such a claim, so I will just mention it, and state that electrostatically charged filters work better because the charge holds onto the dust particles that it removes from the air stream. Bottom line? These filters are as good as, or better than, most air filters out there. From my perspective, their cost makes them more than acceptable, and since I know how they are made (their support structures), I can un-reservedly recommend them for general use. They earn my rating of 5 stars.

> 3 dayThese filters look similar to the ones I used to buy at the big box stores. Installation was quick and easy, and operation seems as quiet or quieter than my old filters. I appreciate the fact that theyre made in the US, which helps justify the price. Theyre not the most expensive or the least expensive, but somewhere in the middle. I wanted a filter that didnt have the highest MERV rating. I was using Filtrete filters, but during an unrelated service call the tech said those filters are too thick for my old furnace motor to handle. She recommended a filter that doesnt filter so efficiently, and these filters are perfect for my use. Recommended.

> 3 dayThis is bargain for a years supply of MERV 8 filters. They are a perfect fit for my return air grill and they do a great job of filtering out particles from the air, helping to extend the life of my a/c. Overall, it does a good job and I like the MERV 8 rating on this air filter and the price is excellent.

> 3 dayBNX 20x25x1 MERV 8 Air Filter 4 Pack - MADE IN USA - Electrostatic Pleated Air Conditioner HVAC AC Fur Fits perfectly and was a snap to put into the furnace. just have to watch out of the arrow as the direction of the air flow. So far so good. I have 2 units. so this will last me a couple of months. it is a Merv 8. I typically use these in the winter as there are no as much pollens. in the spring and Fall, I typically move up to the higher Merv rating ones for allergies. I would recommend these air filters. Good pricing.

> 3 dayWell made, excellent fit. These MERV 8 dont seem to filter as well as the MERV 13 Im used to. They are a bit cheaper for the 4 pack than the MERV 13 though. Youre also not changing filters as often with the MERV 8.
