I contemplated buying boat buckles for my trailer for a long time and now that I’ve installed and used them I’m kicking myself for waiting so long, you will not believe the convenience of using boat buckles!!!!!!

Easy to fit, use and well built

This is such a better option than the standard tie down tension straps. The frame my boat trailer has a tab that is in-line with the length of the trailer. This means the hole for the normal tiedown connection is basically perpendicular to the trailer rail. Hopefully that makes sense, because that caused me to order the small bracket after I found the angle of this strap was too big. 3 days later the bracket came (cheap) and the mounting took all of 5 mins. I added a couple washers and some lock tight for piece of mind. So much easier than the other way!

I spent weeks looking for a tie-down that would shorten to just 19 between the transom hooks on my Sea-Doo Speedster boat and my trailer. All regular ratchet straps dont tighten with that short a gap, but the BoatBuckle Retractable Tie-Downs did the trick! They fully retract to about 5, I mounted them to the trailer permanently in minutes, and they take literally seconds to attach/detach for the boat! The ONLY concern I had was that I needed to buy their Universal Adapter to be able to position the buckles away from my trailer tail-lights (there wasnt enough room between my tail light and the trailer mounting hook). It would have been a lot easier if I had a way of knowing the buckle couldnt be mounted with what room I had available on the trailer for it ahead of time, OR if the BoatBuckle came with the adapter already included for those of us who need it.

Purchased this as a replacement for our new boat. Excellent product! Shipped very quickly. We will never. Go back to manual tie downs!

Will get this for any boat trailer I have. It saves me the extra step of putting the straps away and getting the right length. Its that much faster to launch and take out now. Plus I never wonder where they are.
