BoatBuckle G2 Retractable Transom Tie-Down, 1 Pair

I purchased BoatBuckles to replace some cheaper retractable tie downs I got at Walmart. The Walmart tie downs only lasted less than six months before one side quit retracting. When I removed it and took it apart I found that the steel spring had corroded into a rusty mess. The BoatBuckle are supposed to have a stainless steel spring and should last longer. Also, the BoatBuckles are much easier to operate compared to the Walmart version. So, I learned that cheaper is not better in this case. I noticed that some reviewers wished that they had purchased the cheaper Walmart tie downs instead, just be thankful that you didnt!

Super easy to install and the product works great.

The ratchet works fine. The mounting bolts are no good. They are threaded with the nut on the end but when I tried to tighten them down, one rung the bolt off and the other seized up before screwing all the way down. Neither one went half way down to tighten up. Had to go to town to get 2 bolts and locking nuts to install the ratchets. Just remember the ratchets are very good but the hardware sucks.

Great boat tiedowns

Mounted to my boat trailer and they are always there and ready to go! Much easier to tighten these straps then the old fold down straps. Well worth the money!

You cant beat the speed, simplicity, or convenience. We bought these for the stern tie downs 3 or 4 years ago and decided to get bow tie downs this year. Great product

This was easy to put on and works really well

My boatbuckles consistently come loose after any bump in the road. On a 400 mile trip I found the straps completely slack 2 or 3 times. They are not to be depended on.

This product works exactly as it should. I didnt like the price, but I do like the way it works and the convenience it provides as I load and unload my boat. It does just what it is made to do.

best thing I have purchased in a long time. Easy to install and easy to use. Saves time and dont have to try to keep up with them like the old ones.
