this heat light is great it is not a light but it heats up the chickens house very well. the chickens love it and that makes me happy.

Wish I could give it a lower rating. Arrived torn apart in the box. Box was incredibly low quality and they were packaged haphazardly.

You have to be extremely close to feel the heat from these bulbs

I use these for my desert tortoise houses and also in a plant shed. They hang easily from a shower curtain rod, or from a reptile light stand. Their wattage output is accurate

Its a plug and go. I plugged it in and adjusted the temperature with my flukers light that has an adjustable temperature setting control. I set a thermometer under where my leapord gecko lays at night to hunt crickets. So far so good. Its been on 24/7 for the past couple months. The ceramic heat emitter is still going strong. Just make sure you do put a thermometer below to keep an eye on the temperature. Definitely worth the price.

Much smaller than I anticipated. Bought it for my chicken coop. It only put out warmth a few inches from bulb and not heat. I left it plugged in for a few hours. Would be fine for reptile environment but not 8x8 chicken coop.
