If you need one, you need one. When I ordered it, I thought it would be flimsy, but it is actually heavy duty. :)

Excellent product.. Easy grip

Its fine for identifying quickly the difference between a 1/2 inch bolt and a 1/4 inch, but when you have a metric bolt and an imperial bolt that are both very close in size, poor tolerances on the holes can make it really tough to tell the difference. In the end, I use this sometimes for basic measurements, but if you want to know for sure, just get a caliper.

For the price is a good product and easy to use but plastics shrink a little when the cool out of the mold. A machined metal version would be more precise but cost more.

I love this thing. It keeps me from guessing sizes. Mine didnt come with the sticker on it like a few reviewers have complained about. The plastic is thick and it seems very sturdy.
