The great thing about this adapter is that it can be paired to multiple controllers. Ive found a PS4 controller works great with Dreamcast games, whereas the 8BitDo M30 Bluetooth works fantastic for Saturn games, and maps the buttons 1:1. My favorite feature though, has to be the built in 240-block memory card accessible on PC via USB. With this, I was able to back up all my VMU saves (some of which have been on there over 10 years) and transfer them to my PC where theyre safe and secure. After purchasing the Wingman XB for my Xbox consoles, this one was a no-brainer. Brook has gained a new customer with me. 45 bucks well spent.

It does what’s on the tin and more. Absolutely worth it if you want to use a Bluetooth M30 with your Saturn (FYI, 8bitdo offers a setting to swap A and B to make this happen). Compatibility is great with my PS4 controller as well. Buttons are easy to remap using the unit. After months of use, mine died. I suspect it may be because I connected up a USB keyboard (bonus feature, not advertised) that drew too much current. Stick to the features on the box, I guess. If you must try a keyboard, use an ordinary one with no lights/macro features which could draw amps. Since I was within warranty, I reached out to Brook’s support. They did ask for pictures and video of the fault, which wasn’t a big deal as there is probably a language barrier. Once they figured it was defective, they sent me a new one with an extremely quick turnaround (a day or two?) despite coming from Taiwan. Don’t sleep on Brook, folks.

Very easy to use.

No detectable input lag. It works great with my PS4 Madcatz Fightstick TE and 8Bitdo arcade stick on both Saturn and Dreamcast. It doesn’t work with my PS3 arcade sticks, but I imagine that’s because the PS3 used an odd USB standard. Keyboard functionality is great. My only real gripe is that button remapping isn’t very intuitive. Regardless, it’s worth it to be able to play Radiant Silvergun with a modern arcade stick and Typing of the Dead with a mechanical keyboard.

It’s not often that I take the time to write a review about a product but as soon as I experienced how easy it was to get this to work with the PS4 controller, I knew I had to write some thing to help others. All you have to do, is plug this in to your system, press the middle button to put it in pairing mode and then put your controller in pairing mode. After a few seconds, they are perfectly matched up! Heres how the buttons line up on the PS4 DualShock: - PS button is START - Left analog stick is the Dreamcast’s analog stick - Right analog stick replicates the actions of the 4 buttons - 4 buttons are same as Dreamcast controller - Both left triggers operate as a left trigger - Both right triggers operate as a right trigger - Top touchpad is disabled - Share is disabled - Options is same as START Absolutely LOVE this device and works perfectly. I prefer the PS4 controller as it does not show any letters on the buttons but if you have an Xbox controller, it matches up exactly with how the Dreamcast was. Hope this helps someone!

Its not plug and play if you decide to use the Astro city mini arcade stick but Im sure for other controllers and arcade sticks it was incredibly easy. You may want to update to the newest firmware so it can support or fix controllers that had issues.

Using my Xbox controller on the Saturn was amazing. My Saturn 3d Controller has stopped working and this help brings life to Nights, Panzer Dragoon, and Virtual Cop. Also using an arcade stick on this brings new life to street fighter alphas, UMK3, and virtua fighters. Good times, even more so on the Dreamcast, the extra 200 blocks of memory is an amazing bonus + rumble. Cannot go wrong with this if you own two of the last consoles that Sega made.

It’s advertised as working wirelessly with Bluetooth Xbox one controllers but it will not connect. I was able to use a 360 controller with the adapter but it costed me another $30 to get the adapter

I have tried this only on the Saturn so far. The 8bitdo arcade stick, PDP versus pad, XB360 SFIV FightPad, XB360 SFIV FightStick, PS3 HRAP3, PS3 DS3 all work without issue. Brook has never given me any problems in build quality, nor functionality.

I got this Brook Wingman SD for my Dreamcast and Saturn. I am currently using my Sony DualShock 3 wireless controller with it and it is working fantastic. I had an issue with using the DualShock 3s trigger buttons at first with the Dreamcast, but eventually it came to be that the adapter was set to Arcade Stick mode instead of regular gamepad mode. I was able to switch it to gamepad mode by pressing Select + Triangle on the DualShock 3. A green light would come on the adapter. All of this information is on their website, but very confusingly placed and arranged. I wish they would spend a bit more money and ship the adapter with printed instructions or spend some time to make their website more usable or have the instructions in a PDF. Also, please update the firmware on the device before using just to be safe. Otherwise, great device. 4/5 due to the lack of clear instruction which would confuse users into thinking the device is broken or else 5/5.
