> 3 dayWhen I last bought these bobbins it was in the five dollar range now its in the eight dollar range. Inflation sure has hit notions hard. I prefer these Brother ones over the cheap metal ones I tried. I have less tangles and thread nests with these. Holding the tail ends has also helped, that prevents them from getting pulled into the feed dogs and tangling up.

> 3 dayAfter buying a 10-pack of cheap knockoff SA156 bobbins, which did not work well at all, I spent a few extra dollars to get the real thing and Ill always do so from now on. The difference in quality between the two is laughable - these are the real deal, smooth, perfectly sized, no sharp nubs of plastic in the middle of the stems like the knockoffs (also purchased here at Amazon) had, no sharp edges to scratch your bobbin case. I highly recommend saving yourself some time and frustration and picking up these actual Brother bobbins if you have a machine that uses SA156 (and no, I dont work for Brother, just love my machine!). They might be cheaper elsewhere, I havent checked my local stores yet, but even if not Id rather pay a few extra dollars and get some quality bobbins that wont wreck my machine or cause me to waste time endlessly winding and rewinding.

> 3 dayAfter purchasing a new sewing machine, I also needed new bobbins that were the correct size. These worked great and were just as advertised.

> 3 dayI couldnt find this bobbin in either of our local fabric stores, and was happy to find them on Amazon. I recently purchased by first Brother machine, and the bobbin is every-so-slightly different from my Singer. I cant tell from which is which by looking at them, but the Brother machine can tell, believe me! I accidentally grabbed a filled Singer bobbin when sewing on the Brother yesterday and had all kinds of problems with loopy thread and tension issues, until I finally figured out what Id done. Moral of the story is: just because some bobbins look alike -- theyre not -- and the machine knows! Now I know to keep them separated in clearly marked containers. Good purchase at a good price.

> 3 dayI wasn’t sure about what numbers fit what . I went with brand name. They say the others will work, but I played it safe. Pretty much same price anyhow.

> 3 dayMy poor Brother XR-65T has had all sorts of bobbin problems over the years Ive had it. I thought it was a piece of junk until someone suggested trying the SA156 OEM bobbins in my machine (and giving the area around the feed dogs and bobbin race a good cleaning). Holy cow, it was like night and day -- no more tension issues, no more thread nests and no more headaches. I learned on a vintage Singer and assumed for many years that generic multi-machine bobbins were fine because they worked without problems in that older machine. Now I know my Brother is just very particular about having in-spec bobbins to work correctly and will be sticking with these recommended ones from here on out.

> 3 dayWorks on my Singer 1304. You want to get a lot of these so that you can quickly switch thread colors. Use scotch tape to secure thread end in storage to prevent tangling.
