> 3 dayDidnt want to take a chance on the generic bobbins even if they would fit my machine. Im a beginner at sewing and pretty much just use black and white thread so theres more than enough bobbins for me.

> 3 dayI dont use my machine a lot but I needed to make masks and I was seriously being tested this go around. My thread was constantly jamming up and I spent more time getting everything ready only to jam up again and again. After Utubeing the issues , I found it could be due to the bobbins. The aftermarket bobbins work for some machines but not my mine. I loaded them with new thread and its been like night & day, Im not jamming anymore. Also, my machine sounds better too. Its not making the clacking noises. This was such an easy fix.

> 3 dayi know you can get more bobbins for less money on line but these are the real sa156 bobbins. dont buy generic if you have a brother sewing machine. i did and the generics work horribly. the generics dont fit tightly in machine and i can hear them rattle as i sew, even at low speed. also, my stitches come out uneven or get caught in machine and i have to pull them out. if you are searching for sa156 bobbins get the real ones and these are them

> 3 dayGreat Brother quality and they fit my CS6000i perfectly. Ive had no problems or frustrations with them. They click in correctly when winding a bobbin and drop in smoothly when inserting into the machine.

> 3 dayI bought a Brother Designio machine to replace an older Singer. I had Singer style class 15 bobbins and figured that since they were flat top and the right size for the Brother machine, they were completely interchangeable. While they fit on the winder and in the bobbin case, I soon realized that the problems that I was having with skipped stitches, etc. had nothing to do with the machines tension setting but instead had to do with the tightness of the wound bobbin. Apparently, using a brand other than Brother does not give optimal performance. Since I have switched to Brother bobbins, it had all been smooth sewing.

03-06-2025Brothers sewing machines require bobbins of the same brand. If you try to use other brands, you will not be able to use them. This is not a major issue, but it would be nice to use any other brand - that is why I give it only 4 stars... They perform well and seem to be of good quality. I ordered more.

> 3 dayWhen I last bought these bobbins it was in the five dollar range now its in the eight dollar range. Inflation sure has hit notions hard. I prefer these Brother ones over the cheap metal ones I tried. I have less tangles and thread nests with these. Holding the tail ends has also helped, that prevents them from getting pulled into the feed dogs and tangling up.
