Brother Sewing and Embroidery Bobbins 10-Pack, SA156,Clear

These are the bobbins sold and recommended for Brother sewing machines, and they really make a difference. Other brands that I tried did not wind the thread properly and, thus, didnt sew properly.

I bought a Brother Designio machine to replace an older Singer. I had Singer style class 15 bobbins and figured that since they were flat top and the right size for the Brother machine, they were completely interchangeable. While they fit on the winder and in the bobbin case, I soon realized that the problems that I was having with skipped stitches, etc. had nothing to do with the machines tension setting but instead had to do with the tightness of the wound bobbin. Apparently, using a brand other than Brother does not give optimal performance. Since I have switched to Brother bobbins, it had all been smooth sewing.

After buying a 10-pack of cheap knockoff SA156 bobbins, which did not work well at all, I spent a few extra dollars to get the real thing and Ill always do so from now on. The difference in quality between the two is laughable - these are the real deal, smooth, perfectly sized, no sharp nubs of plastic in the middle of the stems like the knockoffs (also purchased here at Amazon) had, no sharp edges to scratch your bobbin case. I highly recommend saving yourself some time and frustration and picking up these actual Brother bobbins if you have a machine that uses SA156 (and no, I dont work for Brother, just love my machine!). They might be cheaper elsewhere, I havent checked my local stores yet, but even if not Id rather pay a few extra dollars and get some quality bobbins that wont wreck my machine or cause me to waste time endlessly winding and rewinding.

Ive tried a few other one size fits all bobbins and nothing quite works in my Brother machine. These are a perfect match for the bobbins that came with it. So glad to have a few extra full bobbins at the ready when I start a large project!

My grandma had bought a few replacement bobbins for her sewing machine and they were the wrong brand. I saw this pack and ordered it for her so she can make some masks to donate to the hospital. These worked perfectly in her Brother brand sewing machine. I have no idea what year it is, but I know its really old. The off brand ones looked so similar, but they werent as tall and slightly less wide which makes all the difference when it comes to using it in the machine. Totally recommend if you have a Brother sewing machine. These also came in same day shipping so that was amazing. Great product, great services by amazon for delivering it so fast.

Brother Sewing and Embroidery Bobbins fits my Singer 4423 sewing machine. The cheap generic non name brand ones are too big for the machine. You can substitute Singer with Brother.
