I’ve been using Syntha-6 for what seems like decades, and it is by far the best tasting quality protein powder I have ever come across. However, the price has become absurd. Just last year a 5lb of Edge was in the $40 range, and now it is over $60. Inflation aside, there is no way the cost should be this high. Sadly it’s time to go back to Optimum Nutrition Gold and Caesin :(

This stuff is amazing!! I have tried quite a few protein powders out there and somehow I can never get passed the taste, their either too chalky or the flavor is not good.. Syntha has always delivered. I have tried syntha before and I wanted another protein powder that didn’t have a lot of carbs per serving and when I noticed that they had this one with only 6g of carbs per serving I knew I needed to try it, I was hesitant as I thought maybe less carbs would mean less flavor but boy was I wrong. This stuff is great! And I barely write reviews but I know how helpful they can be so if you love chocolate this is the one for you!

High protein. Easy to mix in blender. I wouldn’t use it if it tasted bad.

This is the best protein powder I have found by far. It has the best texture, no gritty and very smooth. The flavor is very palatable and it mixes easily. The price isn’t bad for the quality of product. My husband and I have been using everyday for 3 years now. Love it!!

If they thought this was chocolate Id love to know what they think a real chocolate bar tastes like. Says contains soy and milk. Ya thats bout all it tastes like too. If an extra $10 means actual flavor ill pay it. Switching back to my insane labz after this round.

If you mix it with water its tolerable, if you mix it with milk it tastes like.. well.. chocolate milk. As with most protein powders, there will be lumps unless you either use a strainer, shake/mix very well, or simply leave it sitting for a while. Personally I mix it in milk before my work-out and shake it up nicely for about 20 seconds, then I leave it sitting while I work out. When Im done the lumps have resolved and I have a tasty protein treat waiting. (It also works well in banana ice cream, by the way. Cut up two bananas in pieces and freeze them. Then put them in a blender together with half a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a scoop of this and blend until you reach ice cream texture. Viola, protein rich chocolate-banana ice cream!)

Ive been a BSN Syntha-6 consumer for over a decade. Originally buying their Vanilla Syntha-6 formula, but I made the switch to Syntha-6 Edge once it came out. Tastes as incredible as the original, but now with significantly fewer calories and carbs. As I stated in my title, this is the best-tasting protein on the market, plus it doesnt skimp on the dose, a two-scoop serving is like 40g of mixed medium protein. It may be a little pricer than some of the low brow competitor products but its absoutely worth any price premium.

I ordered this protein powder in chocolate milkshake flavour, and honestly I dont know how it is for the other flavours but for this one it did not taste the best. The drink was thick like a milkshake, which I like, but it didnt taste amazing or mix well. Other than that, if taste is not important for you, then you should definitely go with this one, its a good bang for your buck.

50 less calories, 10% more protein, same price (for my purchases), and the same great flavor (Vanilla Shake) as Syntha 6. BSN is king of protein flavor in my opinion. However, you paid the price in calories with Syntha 6 running about 200 calories and 22 grams of protein. Edge will do 150 calories and 24 grams of protein. I paid the same amount for both products last month and I believe the servings were the same for both containers. Both were a variant of Vanilla and both tasted almost the same. The Syntha 6 was a touch sweeter and stronger to me but for 50 calories less, its fine. I have been a Dymatize user for a long time but sometimes I just want to treat myself to great taste and still keep the calories under control.
