> 3 dayI do not think this unit is boasting on high speed... it does what it says it will do, and I expect a little more. I was incredibly surprised how well this unit works... True Plug and Play for Windows 10 (Have not tried any other OS to date). It comes with USB-C and works on my Android!

> 3 daySpec wise this is a very nice portable SSD. But that’s where my praise ends. With the plethora of other SSD manufacturers on the market I expected a lot more from Buffalo. The housing of the SSD feels extremely cheaply made. So much so that the red push knob/button rattles all the time unless you are applying pressure to it. I have used $9 retractable USB drives that have had a better feel to them with zero noise. Lastly, be prepared to spend about 15-20 minutes trying to remove the protective plastic membrane encompassing the device. I have never encountered such an insanely difficult protective plastic like this before. In the end, 99% of customers will be pleased with the device. But, as someone who wanted to give 10 of these devices out as gifts where impressions mattered I was very let down.

> 3 dayGot this on sale for $65 or so.. Was getting insane transfer speeds from an internal nvme drive to this via a super speed USB port. Impressed so far.

Greater than one weekBuffalo SSD is amazing and quite fast. Moreover, it is portable with 1TB capacity. I even used on my Samsung phone via USB C and was responding quite fast. It is worth buying and recommended for all.

Greater than one weekNice unit. Plugs into USB 3.0 no problem. I have three.. Works with Linux (Ubuntu) as EXT4. No need for power brick. Honors shutdown (power down) command. Doing that puts device in standby reducing power requirements and runs cooler. Nice white activity led. Not much larger then a USB flash drive.

> 3 dayIts been about a couple of months and still serving useful. It works great on both my PS4 and Series S. My only complaint is when transferring games (large files) itll definitely lose speed. Does get ptetty warm btw, but other than that its a decent external SSD thats under $100.

> 3 dayYou read these reviews like I did. So let me sum it up. THERE IS NO BETTER USB DRIVE THAN THIS! Every other one is too slow, or too big. One drawback is the port is ONLY USB 3. speed. The USB C is added with an adapter so its not TRUE C speed or control. But it does fit my MAC. And transfer speeds and cache are legit for USB 3. 2TB drives can be had for much less. But they have NO SPEED. It will take the cheap ones DAYS to copy 2TB. You can clone an entire drive with this or make a working VM in a couple hours. I am buying more for back up and archive of drives. much cheaper and better than a pile of clunky large disks for stuff you may NEVER need again. Back up, clone, archive, and put it in a safe place. Brilliant. And for the price EXCEPTIONAL. This is the #1 BEST and I have sent back a half dozen others as JUNK.

Greater than one weekEconomical 3.0 drive, my read/write speeds in an older HP laptop were 343/170, so decent, but not impressive. I planned to use this for sample playback libraries but, I decided to use my 2nd internal ssd for those, and a Samsung external ssd for recording, so Buffalos a great backup external drive, but it wasnt exactly what I was expecting... 4 stars...
