I did not realize the importance of using the proper pad for rubbing compounds, polishing, and waxing. I would use the same pad with a rubbing compound and expect it to remove swirl marks. Work myself to death with poor results and then blame the compound. This pad set provides everything you need to remove minor scuffs and scratches from you paint so it will look like new. I have a 2004 truck that had light oxidation and I thought it needed a paint job. I ran across this kit and the results were astounding. I cant speak to how they hold up for a professional but, I can say they held up well for me. Watch a few videos to see how to use them properly and you will be pleased with the results. I used the Dewalt orbital sander with these pads; while misting with a water bottle and, while only using the compound. I say personal preference prevails here but, both methods are effective. Adding more compound and/or water before the pad dries with ensure they last. Also keep them clean for improved performance and longevity. Highly recommend the pads...and watch a few videos for technique.

These pads work extremely well when used in steps from course to ultra fine polishing. Just wash them when finished with soapy water and set them aside to dry and they are ready to use for your next polishing job.

Ignore the negative reviews of these things “Blowing Apart”. The ONLY way these things are going to nuke themselves is if you use them at some ridiculous speed like 5,000 RPM with them spinning freely in the air and not pressed against the vehicle. I have a much older Makita Buffer that I inherited and it has a variable speed selector of 1-6 and it tells you on the side that each speed is roughly “X” RPMS, I feel like all these people having problems are people who through these things on a body grinder that can hit up to 8,000 RPMS while manybacking pads SPECIFICALLY say to not exceed 3,000 RPMs. The older buffer I think maxes out around 2,500 RPMS. Extremely good results just using the most aggressive pad, extremely easy to clean, I just turned my buffer to the lowest speed and then hit it with a hose and let it fling all the water and compound off. Very very happy with these pads, I wish I would’ve bought them years ago!!!!

I like the packaging protecting the pads. Many have arrived loose or in a crush-a-ble bag all deformed. Much better packaging and presentation that Chemical Guys or Griots or others.

Used these with a Meguiar’s buffing compound and a Bosch orbital sander to buff out some scratches on a newer car and also to buff an older truck. Pads stuck to the sander very well and were easy to clean with a water hose. Used the orange and yellow pads for the scratches and they worked better than expected and then used the black pad to finish. Before and after pictures attached.

after one use and pulling it off the appropriate sized backing pad the foam is separating from the back of the pad and, theres really no way to separate the foam pad from the backing pad other than grabbing the foam itself when they are exactly the same size as each other

They work but are small, and probably wont hold up long, but they will get the job done and they are not expensive.
