Cable Matters Rackmount or Wall Mount 2U 48 Port Keystone Patch Panel with Cable Management and Support Bar (19-inch Blank Patch Panel for Keystone Jacks/Keystone Panel)

Replaced my old punch-down patch panel with this excellent keystone patch panel, and married it to the white keystone jacks from Cable Matters (UL Listed RJ45 Keystone Jack Coupler Gender Changer in White ). The patch cables connect and disconnect from the patch panel effortlessly. There is enough room to work without skinning any knuckles. Should have done this a long time ago. Excellent quality and construction.

Fits well into 1U, keystones click in fine. No complaints.

Bought 2 of the 24 port blank, problem is the keystone snap in will not work, too close together. Not sure what I missed here but I understood the standard Keystone Cat5 and or Cat6 snap in Rj45 would work, but they do not. I noticed the female to female is narrow perhaps it would work. If you are planning on snapping in Cat5 or Cat6 keystone Rj 45 be aware you will not be able to put them side by side due to not enough room.

Ordered this to go with VCE 5-PACK CAT6 RJ45 Keystone Jack Inline. They worked well together I didnt need to do the whole punch down deal with the connectors just crimped Cat6 ends on Cat6 cable and plunged them in

Shouldn’t use anything else. Flexible for options with different keystone jacks. I’ll only use this from now on.

These were great for the clients budget and work for their growing network. ONLY PROBLEM is (as stated by another here) - The Keystone blanks are to close to each other. Once you get the wires punched down and into the blocks and CLOSELY trimmed the wire sticking out from the neighboring block are so close the exposed ends touch. I was able to put electrical tape over the exposed ends to cover them and not allow the next door wires make contact. I purchased a couple of these to set up and organize my network closet at home. It fits standard keystone plug-ins and comes with a built-in tie-down for strain relief. The finish is good. The silk-screened numbers on the front (showing the port number) is clear. It fits a standard 19-inch rack spacing perfectly.

I was worried that this patch panel may have some plastic parts as mentioned by others on other patch panels from different vendors. I am excited to say this is all metal including the supports, the cable management easily pops on and off from the side for easy installation of keystones. The patch does not come with any mounting hardware which would be a nice touch, but anyone who has a rack usually has spare mounting parts that are specifically designed for their rack and would work better.

Cleaned up my home network data rack with this patch panel and Cat 6 jacks from the same vendor.
