This stuff is great, but save yourself some money, I now buy it from chewy.com for $5 less :)

The product has a very strange odor, and doesnt do a very good job absorbing liquids, getting all wet very quickly. It is a very coarse material, and will probably avoid it in the future. It may be fine if you plan to add another layer of a softer material on top of it, but otherwise, I do not recommend it as bedding material for Guinea Pigs. I bought another product from the same brand (Paper Bedding, 50l), which does a much better job.

This stuff did the trick however it did the same as all the other shavings! Maybe masked the smell a bit better!

My bunny loves these!! It absorbs the pee smell so well and is super soft.

After trying a variety of Carefresh bedding types, I eventually ran across this variant on sale on Amazon. I purchased three bags in accordance with the offer, and I decided Id make the best of it if it didnt prove effective. I was very pleased with the results. In the past, my rabbit always had an issue of flicking the smaller paper pieces out of her cage. With the nesting variety, they were always large and absorbent enough that she saw no reason to purge the paper from her cage. Ive recently had to travel more often, and I was very pleased how absorbent the paper is if I have to go an extra day or two without changing her cage on schedule. Most importantly, its a very soft paper type to settle down in for her. Ive dealt with very hard paper bedding that has felt like it was unworkable with before, but this bedding has been very comfortable for my female rex to curl up into.

It has a rough texture, does not absorb well and it smells.
