Careful what you wish for, I guess? Pros: - cat is looking happier, healthier, more athletic than ever - we adopted him very over weight, and the play seems to be helping with regulating his appetite and rhythms. - this thing is laughably affordable in proportion to its efficacy. It’s not the kind of thing I expect to be built to last- it’s basically some little tubes of cardboard on a wire lol. Cons: - yeah, basically he’s so into this thing that he won’t stop yelling at me to keep playing. Good thing i actually find this more fun to use than the other wand toys

Through the years all generations of my cats have LOVED this toy, but none as much as one of my present cats. She spends quite a bit of time batting the little logs around. The supple piano wire makes the toy bounce. At this time I have three mounted in drawers and she uses all of them. Eventually, the little paper logs wear away so I also have six more stored for future use. The only problem, if you want to call it a problem, is to try and find a drawer that is infrequently used; otherwise, when you open the drawer, the toy falls out and has to be replaced (actually a simple act).

This is the best cat toy ever!!! And I love how simple it is! No plastic, just paper and wire. Our 3-year old Siamese is obsessed with it and begs us to play with him every evening. One toy last us about 2-3 months with daily play. We let him shred it till all the paper has fallen off and then replace. It’s the only toy we need!

This toy took my cat a little while to catch onto, now its her current favorite. I used up two (took about two months each) so bought a three-pack. Why one star off: The wire will unravel after a bit of use, leaving dangerous frayed ends that could poke kittys eye out. Solution: Wrap electric tape up and down the full length of the wire when it gets to that point, like wrapping tape around a baseball bat only the wire is much narrower. Tip: Might be easier to use sitting down. I wiggle it rapidly when sitting with cat on the carpet. If do it at a moderate speed, shell come running for it from down the next room down the hall, will chase it, and then grab it and nibble on the end, which appears to be made of small pieces of tightly wrapped cardboard or paper. She chews it but doesnt eat it. Once the tightly wrapped cardboard or paper bits start falling apart i replace.

I got a kitten for Christmas and she needs lots of play time. I got this for her and she loves to play with it. Fun for cat and it bonds your cat with while you play. My family plays with her with this toy and now she is really socialized with her human family.

My cat LOVES this toy. He will jump and twist and chase it when I am dangling it for him. And when I’m not playing with him, he will sit staring at me until I pick it up and start playing.

This is the worlds best cat toy. Best. Cat. Toy. Simple, but entirely engaging and they NEVER GET TIRED OF IT. Perhaps its the interactive element, because it is a co-play toy. But, we all benefit from quality time with our animals, right? So, but this rosy and start having fun :) PS: as you may have guessed, my cats write the Title for this review.

This toy is a classic that I have enjoyed with my various pet cats over the course of 30 years. It doesnt look like much, but it drives ALL cats absolutely CRAZY! Even very fat and/or elderly cats will chase this toy. The unpredictable wavy motion the wire creates seems to stimulate a flying insect, and cats seem to enjoy chewing on the little rolled cardboard pieces at the end. The toy easily holds up long enough to get your few dollars worth of playtime out of it. My cats and I cant live without our Cat Dancers and Ive gifted tons of them to friends and aquaintences with cats.

I am never without a Cat Dancer. My two cats are young, active, high energy, and picky. Theyre disinterested in most toys. They tear others to shreds. The Cat Dancer is the best toy Ive found for them, period. My cats do destroy them after a while but at about two dollars per piece, Im fine with that. It doesnt hurt that they have no plastic parts, so Im less concerned about throwing them out when theyre trashed beyond use. Highly recommended.
